But sounds hard to implement, too many variables I reckon .

The station would scan everyship in range for their IDs, if one is a pirate ID then it would send an automated message including the name of player to system or specific faction comms.

Yes, it does sound hard to implement.

whenever enemy NPCs show up at a base it alerts a message, probably based off the affiliation somehow. I can see this working.

I think the difficulty would arise in deciding WHO to send it to. Actually getting it to send would be ok ( im guessing here though, never edited FL myself) .

Whats wrong with a system wide shout? From an RP pov thats what a real station would do would it not ? THEN the onus is on any lawfuls in the system to call other players in for backup.

Too much work for the server too as it will have to search all the possibilities and Find out the faction and the find out the Players with that tag and Report to them. Good Idea but I dont think it is worth the hassle
