And die easily by lawful fighter in houses or by other pirates becouse you are pirating in their space.

Sure I may pay the pirate his fee as well but at least he doesn't have to pay it. Also I RP a weakling running from a fight, it's good fun. Pirates enjoy me.

Chasing a trader around is fun when the trader is role playing with you. I've had a few that just kept quiet the entire time. Never said a word. Had one that did that over and over again ... he'd enter Sigma 13 ... I'd make demands which went unanswered ... destroyed him ... he returns ... same story ... over and over and over for about an hour. He never made any money (lost mostly to buying cargo). I picked up what was left after the explosion each time. Unfortunately ... pirates can't cash in on cargo like traders can ... which makes pirating for cargo worthless and reinforces the need to pirate for credits (but that's another thread).

Yeah ... gets old ... and NY is a waste of RP these days. I find the house militaries and police tend to make it more difficult to pirate ... which means pirating in house systems a bit hard to justify role play wise.

I have a Freelance pirate with a Falcata who spends lot of time sneaking around Liberty and Bretonia. He's neutral to most unlawfuls (apart from Corsairs) so it makes for a lot of fun and interesting RP.

Often I'll be pirating solo and slowly end up gathering a small group to hit more ambitious targets. Or else other unlawfuls passing through might call on me for a little help and a percentage of their haul. On the other hand I might get attacked by other pirates because I've wandered into their 'turf'.

Come up with a character, RP with people, move around, explore and interact and there's a lot of fun to be had pirating. I even had one miner yesterday who couldn't afford to pay me (I was only asking 400k) so he gave me ten percent and promised to return with the rest later. Naturally I let him go because I'm not there to ruin anyone's fun. Low and behold he turned up ten minites later with the outstanding 360k.
