Problem that I see is that you guys aren't exactly "got what you want" by moving from Omegas, it seems to me you just couldn't establish some decent diplomacy with corsairs. I'm not talking about everyone and I don't blame only you, Corsairs can be slow sometimes as well.
Me too! Unfortunately to do that you need some kind of a public vote. Otherwise, you get people screaming powergrab.

As a Zoner character, I once considered making a deal with OPG to pay them to pirate as many indie Zoners as possible (outside of CoZ). I don't know if there are that many lolwut Zoners as they used to be. But really, when you have THAT many zoner powertraders, you would think that the pirates would have a field day with them!
I think that instead of nerfing the Omicron/Omega Zoner trade routes, we should have just made a deal with Corsairs to increase their pirating schemes on Zoners.
Actually my second idea besides Kishiro was creating an Zoner faction based solely on FP9 and FP5 and goods to those two stations and food for Corsairs.
My first step would be getting immunity on piracy from Corsairs Council by delivering xy food a week to Crete and actually doing it. I wouldn't extend the pact I established with Corsairs to any other Zoner faction for start.

As for not having something to shoot at... you must have missed the fun with all the "LOLdente pie-rats" around Freeport 6... who met some angry Zoners in bombers, Gunboats, Destroyers and even a Battlecruiser :crazy:
The Battlecruiser was me.
Far as I know, the only Zoner who has one (that went and got holding faction premession at least)

And when bored, sit around a FP and wait for someone to refuse to cease fire.

You essentially just described OSI. I designed our trade routes (Well I am not finished) around Freeport 10 and Freeport 6 since we moved to the Taus. We have additional routes added to cover our contract with the IMG and some for the Order.
I also added in a route that moves goods to Crete to uphold our past of bringing the Corsairs goods. I read your laws and understand the Elders frown on Corsairs that pirate traders bringing food and other needed goods to Crete; so I expect our runs to Crete to be safe. I however fully expect that a Corsair might pirate an OSI vessel when we are simply moving through Corsair space.
The reason the current Zoner factions share so much is because we are all a tight knit bunch. We help each other out when we can and want to see each other prosper.
