Hostage situation

Hey everyone,
I was thinking about terrorism in Freelancer and I came up with the idea of a hostage situation. An Enterprise class luxury liner filled with 1000+ passengers that has come under control of an extremist terrorist movement who are demanding things or they will kill all the passengers onboard.
Hopefully I could create a threat for the lawfuls that is not solveable with PvP gunfights, but has to be RPed delicately.
How do you guys think I should do this?
Obvious problems are ID/IFF relations and preventing people from just blowing me up and tractoring in the cargo while yelling 'Theyre allright, I got their escape pods!'.
Perhaps I should request a Terrorist ID?
Please let me hear your thoughts.

its not new.. and has been done many times before.. your ID/IFF will just have to fit your ship.. if you want to do some actions that will involve say attacking lawfull ships (which you probably wont be doing) there should be a special request.. other than that if you just want to RP its fine.

The most possible outcome, since there many indie lolwuts around. However some oficials will surely RP that out with you I'm sure, but then, you have to choose the right time and the right people.

First of all, it depends on which terrorist faction you are. The following scenario works in my mind:

Luxury Liner with all VIPs, Xeno IFF and ID. You can RP that the VIPs are from Kusair and are ruining Liberty with their foreign influences and money, and that you have taken an OSC Liner over. Say that if anyone kills the Liner, tensions would rise between Kusari and Liberty.

May need special request for this though...

Don't be so pessimistic. We held an LPI transport hostage for two hours and got the demands we wanted.

First thing you need to do is order your victim to move into an asteroid field away from places where any help can show up unexpectedly.
