Your problem is that you have alot of Zoner players but not enough of those stay active in zoner faction after they don't need more money.

But everyone knows this. Any suggestions on how to... undo this?

Actually, the problem is, we faction boys are a plenty. There aren't enough Indies to go around and COZ is pretty much dead. Also, we factions boys be doing all the work right now in trying to get Zoner RP going on along with the few indies who are still trying along with the rest of us. Thats the problem.

Oh, you meant piracy....yeah erm I blame that on the mining mod, seriously.

Their problem is their boring. Not the people, but the faction. No shoosting, unless shost at o'course. Most of the time it's politics, and even then it's boring. Neutral factions are neutral to make money and prosper. If you want anything else then the zoners aren't for you.

I don't see how's that possible. I think zoners are ones of the most cunning and most harder factions to play.

They're far from boring. There's so many diplomacy to do and money to earn without trading that it's simply awesome.



Right now.. they're like.. these guys that give benefits freely for nothing but trouble in return

He doesn't get to shoot stuff up so he finds it boring. Which is expected, as PvP is a big part of other factions. I don't see the Zoners as having a problem, us faction type and a number of indies enjoy ourselves and our interactions with other factions. I don't think we need a fix, I rather like not having to deal with the lolwutters the Corsairs, Order, Outcast and other factions deal with because PvP is a big part of their faction (It is even if the player faction RPs heavily. You have an enemy to pew pew.)

I'd have to thank Dab and other devs for that; though I think the Guard ID needs to be modified further as to not interfere with RP the change has removed most of the lolwutpowertraders.

Never had a zoner, never wanted one. Mostly because I felt guilty about abusing their awesome ships and not giving anything in return.

I also wonder why doesn't every Freeport have its own official representative to do the politics and whatnot with the factions sorrounding that freeport. Seems alot easier.

.. corsair player. But smuggle or trade with same said character and in rp routes.

I believe the Junkers did that a while back, having "governors" or magistrates whatever for their bases around Sirius. I personally think that's kinda neat, especially for these factions that have bases scattered all over the place. Gives a unique flavor for each region.

Got a whale. I only do inRP routes in it though. Oh yeah anyone who saw Thetis moving with gold from Dublin to Munich today, I was helping out a new guy, so at least i have it justified.

I dunno i made a Zoner guard to get their juggy (yes, i was a lolwut cap wannabe), but somehow its not that awesome anymore, so i stayed with the whale and use it for funding.

As far as I know that's already been tried in the early days of the CoZ... (someone who knows better please correct me if that's wrong). The result was that nothing ever got accomplished, as everyone (alright maybe not everyone...) only looked for his little base and not at the overall situation.


There's no reason to 'fix' the Zoners. Nothing is broken. They're the way they're supposed to be (thanks to the former powertraders with their 5k transports having migrated to house factions).

The only thing which could need a little correction is to move the docking restrictions for transports above 3'800 to the Zoner ID and remove the ability of the ZG ID to use transports.

Less "RED!!! PEW PEW!!!!" that way O_o


As for not having something to shoot at... you must have missed the fun with all the "LOLdente pie-rats" around Freeport 6... who met some angry Zoners in bombers, Gunboats, Destroyers and even a Battlecruiser :crazy:

Anyway. The Zoner Defense Force will take it up to 'pew pew' at those who manage to get declared enemies of Zoners... we'll see how that goes.
