Remove the Blanket Bounties

Lolwut?! So some of those Hunter needs to read whole story section to know who is he dealing with, sorry but removing these bounties is stupid thing to do, just because you got killed.

You are guy with Hacker IFF/ID, good reason for any hunter to shoot you down. I am navy i am good person i defend liberty and still i get killed ... like anyone cares

I think blanket bounties do make a lot of sense. Bounty Hunter's aren't just a bunch of loners flying around hunting pirates for cash. Those are Mercenaries. They are the Bounty Hunter's Guild. They are a private military organization contracted by the houses to clean up the pirate problems when the local police forces can't control it. If you think of a blanket bounty as a contract for the Guild, then it makes sense.

would it be possible to make a Bounty command for, so you can add bounty's ingame, with like a /command name and the reward, and as a BHG/police/navy/merc's can look up bounty's on ingame char's, then it is easy to make bountys and then BHG can only hunt people with bountys

well pretty much the same as they are doing it on the Miner ID and ships and mining bonus, you need the right ID, IFF and ship to clame the bounty...

If you were to remove blanket bounties, you would quite literally have Hunters, Merc's and Freelancers sitting in front of Manhattan going 'Hurrrrr', sitting alt-tabbed, reading through the bounty forum and listing names in notepad. Then, whenever one of you LR or whatever you're currently whining for log in, they would swarm you in the dozens, fighting over that once-only 2 mill kill.

But hey, you only get what you ask for, right?

Blanket bounties ruin role play for unlawfuls. Not all unlawfuls are pirates and not all unlawfuls engage in combat. Some people have complex role play built into their characters. My pirate for example will typically move food, water, medicines and other humanitarian type cargo between Junker and other neutral bases to the poor who live within the houses. This whole "red is dead" mentality that PVP-centric bounty hunters go by ... and with traders posting ridiculously high bounties on people ... just destroys any role play that we complex role players have in our characters. So ... us some common sense people ... remove the blanket bounties if you really and truly care about role play. If all you're here for is pew pew then please go somewhere else. This IS a role play server ya know.

One of the reasons why blanket bounties are in place is that chasing specific bounties is a lot more potentially wasted work than anything else in the game.

Have you ever flown from halfway of galaxy after a single bounty and then the guy just logs off when he checks the chat window? I have. A lot of times.

if you got a problem with BHG faction take the matter to the feedback. BHG has been known to be fairly strict in dealing with the member making a fool out of the faction.

But I agree with Prowler and Athenian and everyone else saying that it's the people who needs to read the rule 0.0. Personally I don't jump in on 3vs1 situations and I try to play fair and considerate. But can I make others to do so? No. And neither can you schlurbi. It's not about blanket bounties really. It's about people who have a certain mentality and way of playing this game.

People who you claim to be abusing the blanker bounty, and I know there are such people like there are other people in every faction abusing their "rights", could as easily make a true pvp char, xeno. But funnily I see very few takers on that offer since no other character is as dependent on other people following the rule 0.0 as they are to be able to have constantly good time in the server.
