Dear few members of what remained from the institution once known as the Council of Zoners,
of whom I was once a member, back when it still meant something. I am speaking here as a free man, who is a member of an distinguished faction, that cherishes Zoner tradition of free speech, unlike the individual that hides behind the position of late Council of Zoners.
I want to express my outrage and disgust with the manner by which this self-proclaimed leader of this shell of former institution treats those of us who decided to follow the Zoner ways of old, following our individual and social paths any way we want to. Freedom used to be utter imperative to Zoner folks.
Now, in order to prevent us from showing to the rest of our nation, how life can be much better organized outside of the shadow of her arrogant rule, miss Silvan obstructs any efforts made by organized group of Zoners, that managed to escape the grasp of her dictatorship.
Needless to say, she is using any mean she can, legit or legal is not important to her, as long as she can justify it by what she believes to be a good cause.
I want to remind all of our brethren on one good custom that legendary Chairman Malaclypse used to practice quite frequently, back in the golden age of the Council of Zoners - the membership list update and a roll call.
I dare miss Silvan to do similar thing, at least for once - just to show to the rest of the Sirius how many Zoners does so-called Council represent and how many Zoners recognize her as their leader.
It would shine new light on the recent events and the exact status of this para-institution.

I too have become disdained with the Councils opressive leader... She firmly believes she is the Queen of the Zoners. It seems. I do not remember Chairman Malaclypse, although I heard fond of him. Chairman Doc Holiday was a far better leader than Ms. Silvan. Perhaps the fall of Silvan's beloved position will bring their return.

After recent events in which the CoZ extended their hand to the Coalition, only to spit in our face when we attempted to accommodate their request. The Coalition refuses to have any communication with the CoZ and affiliated Zoners.
However, in the aim of fostering good relations with non-CoZ-Aligned Zoners, for the purposes of trade and diplomacy, we support you and your goals here to remove this corrupt and dictatorial organization.
As such, the Coalition moves to open trade negotiations with each and every Zoner who stands up and says they are not a part of the CoZ.

Indeed a troubling matter. I had resigned from the Council before her gaining of power. The whole Joker fiasco didn't help her reputation, either. I will support a new council if you will appoint members and leaders of one.

Indeed, I propose we simply treat the council as a non-entity unless and until proven otherwise. Prehaps even come up with our own replacement for it, simply as a way to properly represent ourselves. If we were to have such an entity, I would propose that we have no true 'leader' per-se, just a single 'spokesmen' whose ellected job is to speak for the views that we as a group decide upon.

Kashiwaba appears to be proposing a diplomatic spokesman; not a true leader. An ambassador would be more appropriate, yes. Some one who knows how to relate with others and convey topics in a poetic way. Can't have some moron blundering about.
A thought just occurred to me: Can't you just vote her out?

I want to bring up a topic my brother was not aware of when he voted for Ms Silvan to become the chair; and that is Ms Silvan's membership in the Asgard Warriors. I have been researching and trying to piece together information regarding this group. From what I can tell, they were a iron fist military ran group that abused their affiliation with Zoners. Yet, they claimed to be the protectors of Zoners. They even went as far as to tell the CoZ that it would take an 'Act of God' on behalf of the CoZ if they wanted the AW to remove its affiliation with the Zoners. Given their militant behavior one can assume this was a subtle nod that they could crush the CoZ if they so felt; though they never said as much. Add to that the fact that Ms Silvan deemed the CoZ futile while a member of the AW.
I know you all know my families feelings in regards to Ms Silvan. I believe she is power hungry and corrupt. She feels that if she doesn't support something the entire CoZ doesn't support it. She also thinks that the CoZ represents all Zoners not affiliated to the factions. If this was so, why don't those Zoners register with the CoZ? How long has it been since the CoZ verified its membership? How many other cultures in Sirius actually acknowledge the CoZ now days? How many of them have a extreme hate for the CoZ now days?
As for those of you considering an alternative to the CoZ. I would suggest you look into the Zoner Alliance and the Zoner Union of Independents, of which I am a member. If you have any questions you can open a direct channel to the Alliance and I am sure someone will be happy to answer your questions. I know some of you have heard of the Alliance and some may think it a power grab, but I remind you who claimed that, Silvan herself. The Alliance is willing to work with indie and clan alike.
Mare, Im not so much as proposing a diplomat but someone who is the 'contact woman' for whatever the replacement council is. Essently, I think the council should consist of anyone that feels like showing up. We then pick a single person to speak for us, that person should know what our feelings are on certain issues and be able to replate them in a diplomatic manner, but this person would not be a diplomat in the true sense of the word, as this person would have no real authority other than to say 'I'll pass that on to the others' and let us others know what was said.
As for the old council, pfft, its dead. Who cares. We zoners need no petty council, we just need to have a forum to get together, hash out a general consensus of our beliefs on issues, and make sure people respect our neutrality. If one council ceases to be worth a bucket of warm spit, simply get another council.
