Jonathon sits back with a sigh.. with a nice cup of coffee.. It feels good to relax for a moment he thinks..

His relaxation is short lived however. The message indicator on his communicator starts to blink.

"What have we here" says Jonathon, as he starts reading the messages. His face breaks into a grin. He leans over and presses the intercom button. "Security" comes over the speaker. "Gentlemen, There are two individuals that are requesting to join our fine establishment. I would like you to go pick them up. Discreetly please., And bring them in for an interview. Inform me when this is done." "Afirmative Boss!, security out" comes from the speaker.

Ahh, It feels good to relax thinks Jonathon as he finishes his coffee.........

"There...the trasnponder's set up..."

There's a man on screen. He's filthy, his clothes tattered and worn. He carries a small laser carbine in his hand.

"Well...I sure hope yer gettin' this. Seems Im in a bit o' trouble."

He laughs, looking around the room. The room appears to be a cave.

"Suppose I should tell you how I got here. It's not much of a npvel, so dun' expect somethin' pretty. It all started some 7 years ago, jus' after I got fired...fired an' replaced, that is. Some Krauts who told 'em they'd work fer the minimum wage. It all just got...screwed up."

He leans back, pourinng himself a shot of whiskey. A quick smile crosses his face as he knocks it back.

"Well, I got involved 'en some proest rallies. Ya know, small stuff, peaceful stuff. After this one rally, where we were throwin' a few things, some rich man got hit by a rock. Barely even scratched tha' guy...but 7 eople were put in jail. Includin' me."

"Now, I just wasn't gonna have that. I had a life, friends...I couldn't just lose it all. So, I ended up makin' a plan with a few others from the rally. It wasnt pretty, but it got the job done. We managed to get to the Impounded Ships Bay and steal some old fighters. We split up, plannin' to meet up at a specified point on Erie, the enterance to an abandoned factory in the hills. It was so remote that we couldnt be found."

He sighs

"They never showed. Ive been hidin' out here for days, avoiding the LPI hover scouts lookin' fer me. Ive already had ta' cave in parts of the underground tunnels to keep 'em away."

He picks up the camera, pointing it towards a wall of rocks blocking a passageway.

"They already got my ship. Im not gettin' off this rock without some sorta help..."

You hear yelling coming from behind a closed door.

"Kelvin Silvetson, come out with your hands up! You will not be harmed."

The man presses a button on the camera.

"You should be getting the co-ords of a landing pad tehy havent gotten to yet. If you can..."

"Kelvin, come out!"

He smirks, and runs out the door. The police come into view

"Where is h-"

A bright explosion tears through the wall. The LPI officers are engulfed in the flames along with the camera

A young scarecrow of a man with piercing green eyes, spiked black hair with dyed blue tips protruding from various spots on his otherwise bald head, wearing a pair of black cargo pants, black boots, and a white 'wifebeater' top, appeared on the video screen, grinning wide, obviously excited at having established the comm link.

"So...I heard 'bout you guys 'n' gals from an ole buddy of mine, a miner, lost his job recently...like myself, heard you folks might be able to...change that, not just for me, but for other folks 'bout Liberty in similar spots, those foreigners...none of 'em care 'bout what happens to good, hardworking, Libertonians when their corporations roll through, ts'disgusting an' if'n I can help push em back and send em home then I'd be more'n happy to do so!...I used to fly as an escort pilot for a Mining company...so ah already know my way 'bout the control panel of a bomber...Oh, an' the name's Tegis, Tegis Vega!"

Suddenly losing a bit of his enthusiasm, Tegis looked around slightly and then faced the monitor again.

"S'pose I'll just keep this here link up, 'til I hear back from one of ya or another one of those cops walks over here and bothers me about my damn hair..."

The liberty fools. All I ever did was fire bomb a few banks!! ZK23345 they called me when they locked me up. I spent so long in that cold cell...i can't even remember my own damn name.
