Hello I'm in the middle of writing an introduction RP story for my character, and I've run into a question. How long exactly does it take for a ship to travel inside the system and between systems? Does everything in game happen in real time? IE: Does it only take 10-15 minutes to cross between multiple star systems, or do you accept that ingame is a sped up world?
I'm new here, I made a search for this information, but couldn't find it. If its been posted here I apologize.
I accept that in-game is sped up, though combat is in real-time.
I give it about a week or so from Texas to Malta.
Maybe about a day, depending on the distance between jumpholes?

yeah, probably the closest thing you have to go by is real time...
seeing as how there are some huge details about the game that will never be realistic enough, like the size of planets, the size of bases compared to battleships...
stuff like that will probably never be sized accurately so probably the best thing you have to work with would be real time.
although, you can adequately RP your ship drifting through space and it may take weeks to travel to another system without using Jumpholes and Jump Gates....
I think it took Trent two weeks to get from Sigma 17 to New York, in an armored transport. They probably had a few breaks on the way there, for tea and crumpets.
