Location: On board the Kokuryu, Yokohama Shipyard
I have been commanding the Kokuryu while we were getting her refitted. This has been an interesting cruise. On our way from Dublin to Seto, we ran into two QCP, one fighter and one bomber. As we just finished refitting the Kokuryu we were more interested in getting back to home territory than fighting with Privateers. We set our course for Stokes. They chased us halfway across the Seto system and stopped short of actually destroying the Kokuryu. That's when they made their fatal mistake. They stopped to taunt us and demand money. We decided this was a good a time as any to test our new weapons so we lined them up in our sights and spaced them in four shots.
The TAZ contacted me soon after the fight to thank us for destroying the QCP, apparently they've still been having trouble with them. You can see the damage in the scans of the Kokuryu, we also lost the thruster, counter measure, and two Kusari defense turrets in the fight. I have transferred money from my personal account to cover the losses. I think the blow to Privateer pride was worth the whole amount. We underwent basic repairs on Stokes and started our journey back to New Tokyo. On our way back to Kusari to replace the lost equipment we ran into yet another Privateer in a Shire who tried to pirate us. During that fight the Flip.Open Hogosha transport showed up and lent his guns in bringing it down. Not much of a fight to be honest, those Shires are just one big target.
A Privateer gunboat then entered the system to assist the already destroyed Shire, better late than never I suppose, and started spouting taunts like they usually do. We found him near the Tau 23 hole, pursued him into Tau 23, and he went down fast. Seemed like he was trying to get to the Outcast base in Tau 23 but he never made it.
Things went downhill fast after that. Three bombers, two Privateer and one Chrysanthemum showed up. Flip.Open and I were hoping to rip the gunboat apart before they arrived but we had no such luck. After a rough fight in the thick asteroid fields which put the Kokuryu at a major disadvantage, they won. We barely got the Kokuryu back to dock in one piece. It wasn't long after that Flip.Open was also defeated. Hell of a transport pilot to survive that long against all those bombers.
The Kokuryu has had it's lost equipment replaced and is nearly fully repaired. The Samura repair crews on the Yokohama are making short work of it. I must say, the new gun load out works wonderfully. With all the damage she had already taken, she still managed to take down a Shire and gunboat. I'm going to have to cut this log short as I have some engineers to whip into shape. With the new flood of Privateers we're going to need the Kokuryu back in action as soon as possible.
Today we can celebrate the safe return of all the ships involved in a joint mission between the Farmers Alliance and the Black Dragon Society to demonstrate to our allies the Corsairs that we are prepared to free their people from the threat of hunger while others let women and children starve.
In this one bold gesture we managed to take enough of the Farmers produce to make a lot of families happy for a great deal of time and with this one noble deed we have proven to our friends that Kusari promises are always kept and we will not turn our backs on the weak no matter what the dangers involved are!
Before we left Crete we made sure that the three cargo ships were laiden with the finest artifacts the Corsairs had to sell. This mission was profitable not only in a monetery sense but in strengthening our bonds with our allies the Farmers and the Corsairs.
Just a quick note, the vessel IMG|Eva.Gunther[T] stole off with my goods, and called in the =CR= pussyfoots to attack my vessel. I damaged them but had to withdraw.
If you see Eva, please assist me in extracting revenge from the remains of her ship.
Herr Yarr I'm sorry but I think you were high when you transmitted this message...
First: You tried to pirate me while I was delivering a load of MOX to Dounby Station
Second:I did NOT stole anything from you, acctualy you tried to stole from me.
Third: I'm sorry those "pussyfoots" didn't killed you.
Now you have no reason to revenge yourself, anyway if you try to you will definitely fail.
Last night was a grand one for our society. When I left the duties of my estates, General Yarr informed me of a transport bringing niobium through our territory. I loaded up my Raba and headed out his way, though he came straight into our laps through the jumphole to Kyushu from Tau-23. We greeted him, and suggested to him what would make a proper gift to his betters upon entering their house. He tried to shuffle past us, we, who had so generously come to welcome him. After we reminded him that is was unkind to run from your hosts, he opened fire and was destroyed. Though he had given us no kindness, it would be a shame if the treasures he had brought did not make it to their intended destination- we would not have it said of us that we interfere with deliveries to good, honest people, and so General Yarr watched over his remains as I transported what could be salvaged to our friends in Samura.
After doing so, I decided that I may have need of a weapon more precise than my yacht or my gatherer, and so acquired the vessel that is to be my sword- a Black Dragon of finest make and craftsmanship. While I arranged for the purchase and setup of such a prize, General Yarr and another member of our great society went to Tau-23 to visit the miners there. When I had finished preparing my sword, they had returned with a grand bounty of gifts in need of transport. We transferred them to our friends in Samura, and I journeyed with them to Rheinland to make sure they made it safely, carrying yet more ore with me in my yacht. The road proved uneventful.
Upon my return to New Tokyo, I noticed a pair of what appeared to be Outcasts defiling our space with their presence. When prompted, they identified themselves as "heralds" of some "Dark Carnival", come to spread chaos and destroy order. As I told them that order would stand supreme, they opened fire on my yacht, and downed my shield- though I destroyed the one of them that flew a strange vessel of make I have never seen before, soon the Kuroi Kiri arrived to assist me in dismantling the other. Order stands tall, may it endure forever.
I return now to my estates- there is much work to be done.

My fellow Black Dragons,
I come before you today with an announcement. Earlier this evening I delivered an ultimatum to the Junker Congress, as you all know the Congress as well as various other independent Junkers have been constantly pirating Samura and Kishiro vessels in the Galileo system. We have been running them out when we have the time but I am getting very tired of this. Earlier today there were three of them reported on long range scans by our Farmer allies on Saga Base in Tau 42. I took the Kokuryu and General Yarr joined me in his Big Dragon to go and run them out once again. They fled the system as soon as they saw us approaching.
We were debating about whether or not to chase them into Liberty, not out of fear but we want to be careful not to get the Liberty government involved in this conflict, when a Samura train by the name of Nippon Maru came up on us. They were headed into Colorado with a shipment of hull panels and this provided us with a perfect opportunity. We escorted the Nippon Maru into Liberty free of charge in the hopes of encountering the Junkers. Luckily, one came right up on us near planet Denver.
I am patching in what I managed to record of the conversation that took place.
As you can see I issued the Junker Congress an ultimatum for them to send to all Junkers. Stay out of Kepler and Galileo or we will escalate this conflict to levels that the Junkers wont be able to handle.
So my sons, from this day forward, show absolutely no mercy to any Junker ships caught in Kepler or Galileo. You are to destroy their ships and take or destroy their ill gotten cargo at every opportunity. They will learn one way or another, those systems are now under our control.

The Kumicho has spoken; there will be no mercy for Junker scum in Kepler and Galileo. I believe I speak for all of us when I say we are enthusiastically supportive of this course of action.

Indeed you do speak for all our Hogoshan brothers and Kusarians alike, I will buy everyone that takes down one of those dishonourable Junkers one of the finest bottles of Saki on the Golden Dragon!
I will look forward to hearing the reports as they are transmitted to the depot.
Ah, it is good to be here working for the betterment of Kusari. I have also tried to do so, but I feel this presents a much better opportunity.
In honor of allowing me to assist you, I have arranged for my good friend Kiyoshi Sato of Samura to deliver a fresh shipment of Junyo Fish for Kabukicho. It has always been my favorite, and I'm sure such defenders of Kusari as yourselves would enjoy some as well.
I bring a disturbing message today. I entered Tau 23 and found a QCP and =CR= conversing. As soon as I realized it was not taunts leading to weaponsfire I flipped on my recorder. I don't think I got all of the conversation, but the majority, and the jist, of it.
This is...interesting news, do with it what is proper. As for me, I will enjoy teaching the Colonials the price of treachery.
