I would like to apply for a position as a defender. I was born in the medical center of Pueblo Station in 789 A.S. to two researchers studying the nature of the nearby fields. After I was born they took me to Planet Denver where they hoped they could raise me properly. I had a typical education in which I excelled in politics and economics. I used to work for DSE, usually doing escort runs until I could buy my own "Hegemon" Mining ship, I mined and transported my own ore. Most of my experience in escorts and trading took me from Pennsylvania to New Tokyo, so I am very familiar with that route. I didn't use escorts once I started mining and transporting, so as you can imagine I got pirated very often. It doesn't take long for someone to get fed up with working so that other people can do more bad things more easily. So I left DSE, took all the money I had from mining and went and bought myself a "Charon" VHF. I did missions for the IMG until I had enough contacts to find and buy myself a "Nyx" VHF. Through all this I established a relationship with the Colonial Remnant. I now am the pilot of an IMG Bomber rigged with a Supernova cannon and Nova Torpedo. I already have an IMG Guard ID and IFF and much combat experience. I believe the cause of the IMG is to explore and discover, ensure the freedom and safety of miners and traders alike and to protect the economy of Sirius. I will be able to offer my skills in combat to ensure the safety of the people of IMG. Thank you for your consideration.

I bet you're getting wads of letters from folks wanting to get some desk job and do nothing but push paper on one base or anoteher, posing as miners, I personally am an engineer with my own miner and crew that need work for something bigger and more organized than the odd private hauler who might want to buy my ore or might not... Or might get splattered over the rocks.
As per myself and my crew... We are Colonial citizens, some are native colonials, majority however are former slaves, liberated by the Fleet here and there. They decided to stay in the Taus after getting liteerally uprooted from their former lives. They knew the work is hard, but it pays well and They get to rest in some really comfy conditions after work. Personally I'm a native colonial, French ancestry same as those idiots around that minefield in Orkney. Got a PhD in geology from Minato, did time in the fleet as a gunboat gunner. having finished my term I went into geological surveys for the CMI. The corporation declined due to some legal problems and the majority of their miners had to go look for profit on their own.
What I offer is my ship and work. Times are uncertain and I can ill-afford any more failed transactions or I risk going out of business.

Interesting request you have here indeed.
Most of our mining ships are operated by crews, with a captain usually in command.
However, for the vessel you are speaking of, this seems to be a different matter.
I will gladly accept your vessel into our guild. As said before, we are always looking for experienced miners.
Usually we change the call-signs of our ships to the name of the captain that is in command of said vessel.
For example, my mining ships call-sign is: IMG|Zenth.Kynolm[M]
But in your case, the ship you are in command of, appears to be an Artificial Intelligence ship, without a crew and a captain...
If indeed you are to be the one in command of this vessel, then i grant you permission to change the name of it to: IMG|Diana.Emmerson[M] as requested by yourself.
However, if it is an Artificial Intelligence Mining vessel, i would prefer it if you changed it to something more suitable to distinguish it from the others in our fleet.
Such as: IMG|A.I.Drone[M] or whatever you see fit.

Well....Seems like we have had an increasing number of applicants applying without giving us enough information about themselves....
See, in my opinion, people are coming from left and right, wanting the chance to work with our guild. People who would really want the job, and, in-fact, their lives depend on it.
Then there's people who seem to care less who they work for, as long as its for someone.
So here's the deal.
When you apply, you should give enough information about yourself to impress the person you are expecting to hire you. If you cannot do that, then why would we accept you?
Most of our miners are people who have once worked for another mining company, and want to break free of that particular companies grasp. Some of our miners also have other ships that they can use for the defense of the Guild.
Simply put, we need to know who you are, where you came from, and why you want to join the guild as opposed to any other company out there.
So, for people such as yourself, who, for whatever reason, chose not to provide enough information on your own, I will send you a form. This form.
