Edit:
Sorry that was a reflex response ill go lookit up. But i cant figure out how to delete my post.

Edit:
Incase other people want to know
http://www.discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?...tleship_License
Leads me to beleive that mounting a battleship licence on a Transport is a no-go. Please correct me if im wrong.

The wiki information is incorrect. There is no limit on the number of battleships that a player may now own. All battleships must have a license, naturally. But if you want to put a battleship license on a light fighter, feel free to do so. They're 250 million each...

when you are new to systems, the discovery scanner i've found to be extreemly usefull. but once you've been around a while, and you dont need to discover new locations, then you might as well move on to a cargo scanner.

theres absolutly nothing wrong with usin a discovery scanner early on in my opinion. all your points are valid, but there are still advantages to using the boosted range so its not exactly asinine.

Well basically I use it for RP. That I have an increased scanning range due to the Disco scanner. Besides that and that it has an increased range for detecting things in nebulas it isn't all that great.
