So, I'm rather disappointed with the greyhound after flying it for a bit with my rogue... now I'm looking for something new.
The werewolf seems like an interesting ship - bomber-like hull strength, lots of firepower (15,900 powercore), and it carries both a fighter torpedo slot and a cd slot, which seem like the perfect combo for piracy... but how does it fare when you have to defend yourself against the lawfuls?
It turns like a rock, is the size of a small bomber, but other than that, yeah its pretty good, just don't mount five 2.00 codenames on it unless you have godly accuracy (if you do, you'll be able to crush fighters, bombers and freighters alike).
So yeah, its got lots of firepower and a big core, but it tends to take a lot of punishment from other fighters.

It's actually got a great turnrate. One on one, if you're a good gunner you're lethal to anything up to gunboats. Give up your side profile as little as possible and dodge side to side.
In groups, run or die. Anyone with a brain will just shoot you broadside and you can do nothing about it.
They're great in single, one-on-one duels. They are brilliant for piracy, as they're a mix between bombers and VHFs.
Their downside is, well... their side.
It's as big as that of a barn. When you get into group fights with the Werewolf, you're essentially dead - which is the reason why the Greyhound was created.
A bit of advice with this ship is to rotate up and down when turning around in a joust, so as to not expose your side.
I can attest to that. Got in quite a few group fights with my Molly Werewolf, and the initial "ZOMG ITS ZAPP" effect didn't last long once they realized 1) I was in a Werewolf and 2) it was easy as hell to hit me. It's a nice ship don't get me wrong. Just not that great in that setting.
