I didnt SS the incident because.. well, it's not really worth getting into an argument.

I just ran into some Outcasts as Special Insp Pee Wee in California.

First off: They were fully justified in attacking and destroying my Police ID'd and Iff'd ship. Afterall, red is dead!

Thing is.. I'm in an Lf attempting to yank them into some fun RP and the response is 'well, if you don't want to defend yourself thats your problem' or something along those lines. 'Boom'.

I'm in a Lf... outnumbered by HFs and VHF's.. I pose no threat at all!

This happens often.. third time this week methinks.

Heck, I even got nailed to flames off my hull by a Junker in NY.. meh?

Those same types of players would be the first to nag and rant on the forums if I rocked up with a fleet of Caps and ganked them...

My request:

Just a touch of Rp besides the pink wall you are OOC'ing to each other would be fun!

I find it more and more difficult to find someone who I can RP with. But your case is Liberty, I really wouldn't dare to fly a light fighter there. Waaay too much of lolwutery

It's your decision to fly a light fighter.
And if you're in Liberty, you must be aware, that it's the most populated house,
and not everyone are here for the roleplay.

Although, light fighters are not bad. Infact, if you know how to fly one,
you can win a fight against anything up to a bomber.
Even against multiple opponents if you have the skill, time and nerves.

What situation where you in?

Your a cop that just found two pirates in far superior fighters then you.

They in their minds could think: "What if hes calling the cavalry? Better take him out! Hes not fighting back, WOHOO!"

Just an example how they could think, but what was the situation?

Where they outside the planet?

Where they pirating?

Where they doing anything at all? Or Just being there?

And yes, Liberty is most often KOS to Outcasts.

Hell, they where in fighters, be happy they weren't in destroyers. Then id understand the whole thing.

But right now, I dont. If I where to be in a sabre and a LPI LF saw me, then id shoot and ask later, seriously, im used to cap fleets of LNS coming after me -.-

But hey!

I know how you feel, ive been in the same situation when I played LSF, in a bomber (Cant pilot the damn things) and some pirate ID'ed fellows went by and just casualy blow me to bits, while I was typing my message (Yes I got a "Hey an LSF, shoot it!")

But hell as I think it was [Insert General member here] who said: "it's just a game".

If you want to RP with Outcast catch my smuggler sometime! Please!!! Id be happy to chat and describe why I should be able to let some off my Cardamine be sold at that Rogue base:P

Yeah, that is really too bad that any RP didn't happen. My advice: Drop them a hint that OOC isn't tolerated (in RP), and just try to avoid them in the future.
Also, if you have the money for it, you can always put a bounty on their heads :laugh:

There was no lolwuttery, I saw their RP in system chat when they were pirating other players, so thats not what I was yapping about...

This is my average RP lately:

I sit still in space, typing up some Rp.
When I look up from my keyboard I am dead.

Here's my nag:
Most groups and factions don't engage in RP outside of their pink writing.
I have started some independent characters around Sirius in the hope of finding some fun Rp... Heck, even the **** (Bretonia faction) ignore you unless you are an enemy or a smuggler.. (no offense).

This is a bugbear of mine. I always try to reply to group messages in system or local if there are other people about. But then, I'm only in one official faction so I tend not to group that much.

Is it possible that newer players are simply not exposed to great Rp in system chat?

I remember flying around on my RepEx character as a newbie and bumping into all sorts of great characters who were cluttering almost every system with nonsensical RP. With more players online than ever, it seems much quieter now!

I also understand that we cant have 200 players taliking at once, but maybe a liitle more than :), 4milordai and such things might be fun!

Most who read this are RP hoars too, so maybe a bit louder might help?
