I started my patrol today at Manhattan after a quick break, and left for Fort Bush. I saw nothing
interesting on my patrol round until I hit West Point, where I decided I'd go down the lane to the
Pennsylvania jump gate for a change. Here I had a brief encounter with a Rogue patrol distrupting
the lane. I neutralized and arrested all three without incident. At the gate I encountered a Junker lacking an ID, Dominus_Ellesta, whom I complained to. I later headed back for West Point, and after another Rogue encounter further down the lane I docked at West Point for some supplies and set
course for Huntsville with my prisoners.
On the way there I met up with a new recruit, Frank Austin, fighting off a sizeable Rogue attack force at the gate on his own. The threat was quickly dealt with and I now had 15 new inmates for Huntsville, where I ended my patrol for the day.

Started my patrol today where I left off the previous one, at Huntsville. When I undocked the station was under attack by a minor Xeno force, who were swiftly dealt with and dropped off in jail. I also recieved a message from one of our recruits, John Smith, talking about his encounter with a Rheinland gunship on his first day of work. At Fort Bush I encountered a group of criminals, countaining one Xeno, one Rogue, one Outcast and one Lane Hacker. I did not engage the group. I continued my patrol to Manhattan where I met what I presumed was a Rheinland Spy in action, flying a Starflier. He could not speak proper English, and was firing on me and multiple other civillians and flying around them in circles for some reason. When confronted with my thought about him being a Spy he fled towards the atmosphere of Manhattan and presumably died there. I returned to my point of origin at Fort Bush after flying via West Point, where the battle was still ensuing. I headed back to Huntsville with my prisoners and found an Outcast patrol on the way that was disrupting the lane to Texas, who were taken care off quickly.

Patrol 01 began unexpectedly, as I was conducting flight tests in the vicinity of Fort Bush and talking with the master of the Prison Liner Maddox when an Outcast came by demanding the Liner release its prisoners or be destroyed. Not a good idea for him. Between myself, Officer Kingman and the guns of the liner and Fort Bush his Falcata was reduced to scrap. Officer Kingman scooped up his escape pod and we transferred him to the master of the Maddox for incarceration pending trial.



The Maddox took some heavy antimatter fire in the process. Captain Caja reported some breakouts and rioting on one of the prisoner decks, and Fort Bush sent riot cops over to beat sense into them. Afterwards myself and Officer Kingman escorted the Maddox to Norfolk Shipyard for repairs.





With the Maddox safely docked, I followed Officer Kingman into the Texas system, where we encountered a merc locked in combat with a Hacker in a Scimitar on the Texas Gate/Houston lane. We intervened and knocked him out of the sky. We also shot up some rookie Rogues who decided to interfere.



At this point Officer Kingman complained of a severe lack of coffee, and made for the Sunbucks on Fort Bush. I flew to Norfolk to check up on the repairs to the Maddox and handed my Rogue prisoners to the master of that vessel. I used the bounty money to buy myself a new lightbar.

I launched from Norfolk and linked up with Officer Kimble and Recruit Wolfe. We received a distress call from a Navy gunboat designated the BongHit (Didn't know the navy condoned that sorta thing) and flew to its location where we encountered a Scimitar, a Broadsword and a Tridente Gunship. There was a firefight.

The only loss on our side was Recruit Wolfe, but we pulled her pod out of the wreckage of her Libby and sent her back to Fort Bush on a passing freighter. With that we broke for coffee and donuts.

Hull O'Brian sat at his computer terminal, staring at the screen. He can't believe what he just wrote.

Hull pushed the transmit to send the message.

He threw up in his mouth a little.

TO: All LPI Personnel.

Subj: Rescue of Captured pilots.

It is with a heavy heart that this communique is issued. As you all know, the HA have descended upon Liberty with their fanatical vision of justice, making life hard for certain elements that seem to thrive here.

Yesterday, Recruit Officer John Smith was attacked by the HA because he paid a ransom to get back pilots that had been captured. It seems that the HA in their Manifesto De El Torro Poo Poo considers this as being corrupt.

Luckily, Officer Smith is alive, as are the rescued pilots.

Until further notice, do not pay any ransom to get back pilots. I know this seems to be a heartless and cowardly act. The LPI command is conferring with the LSF and LN to come up with a strategy on this matter. Right now we don't need any of you getting whacked for doing the right thing.

Norman Radclyffe here. I wish to confirm Recruit John Smiths' report from yesterday about the hostage situation in California. I am not aware of the final outcome of battle, as I had taken alot of damage, however, I confirm that at least Eight hostiles were holing a Liberty Navy Gunboat hostage. For this reason we called in a Liberty Navy Battleship to help negotiate. However, it seems that Navy Command had other plans and shortly a Carrier and a Assault Battle Cruiser arrived aswell. At this point negotiations broke down, and we put our plan into action. The plan was to draw fire away from the hostages and get them out of the system. During this whole time, [HA] ships (three in total) were attacking the pirates. What happened to [HA] ships is unknown.

My guncam took a hit and was disabled so no footage to hand in.


Also, Affirm on no longer paying ransom to Hostage takers.

Speaking freely chief, I have a good feeling about Recruit Smith. He made some wise decisions on that day.

Recruit Officer Smith here. The incident with the HA needs further investigation. I didn't check the logs specifically to check who shot me, but at the time I assumed it was one of the pirates. When I think back to that horrible day, there might be a log entry which said that an HA shot my ship to several million pieces. There seems to be camera shots of me being killed by HA. From what I read in previous reports, I was attacked because of a ransom I paid to the pirates in exchange for the hostages. This is NOT true, I did NOT pay anyone anything. This means I was falsely "accused" and shot without proper reasoning. I think I'm not the one who should deal with this incident, what next steps (if any) should we take?

Started my patrol at Huntsville, and headed for New York. Met a Bretonian named Ozymandias transporting Military Vehicles, who I back to his intended destination of Houston just to make sure he wasn't assisting the enemy.
I did my normal patrol around New York until I got to Manhattan, where there was a major commotion, consisting of three or so Junkers, Bounty Hunters and a gunboat from the Navy. After a while a Lane Hacker named Go Crazy and a Nomad showed up. At that time I left the area with Go Crazy in pursuit, as a second gunboat had arrived and I assumed that they had the situation under control. He followed me to the Mississippi, where I convinced him that "This battleship granted me a +10 to my invincibility", and where he left. I finished my patrol loop at Fort Bush with a well-earned break at Sunbucks.

Second day reporting for duty. After some patrolling with Recruit Officer Bruce Craver, we got pirates reporting themselves in. Obviously looking for trouble. Pirate Xoono killed a trader and fled back to NY, where My group found him in the presence of more pirates at Colorado JG. Navy Assault1 came to assist and arrest the criminal. He didn't cooperate, so we left him for the present bounty hunters. Case closed. A while later, there was a pirate bugging the LPS San Quentin. Didn't do anything wrong, so he went off.

A few minutes after that, a true invasion of pirates came to Manhattan. The San Quentin didn't feel save, so I escorted him to West Point. At least that was the plan. There were two Outcasts waiting and lured us into a trap. They demanded the release of the prisoners, which we refused. They opened fire on the Prison Ship. I tried to lure them away. That worked, after I realized it was a pretty bad idea. I think the Quentin got away, so I was left with two Outcast Sabres. It was a fight without hope, but I kept them off for quite some time. All my calls for backup were ignored, even the bandits felt sorry for me.

This is my first report of duty. Sorry that it is so long, but there's a lot that happened.

All started while I was still on my way through the New York system completing the weapons configuration of my ship, still off-duty.
I heard a transmission from the the prison liner San.Quentin indicating they had engine problems. Then I was contacted by Sergeant Aiden Maggard warning me that Manhattan space was not safe. That's where I was already.
I quickly continued equipping my ship at Newark. Later Sergeant Maggard advised me to avoid the hostiles and Manhattan in general. Then I heard Officer Andy Kingman over the communications.
Sergeant Maggard informed us that there were 7 Outcasts in that area. He also told us that there was no Navy on site. We tried to contact the LNS-Assault1 and the LNS-Twilight then.
Inbetween there were messages from the San.Quentin that they still had problems aboard (probably rogue prisoners trying to take control of the ship).

Officer Kingman finally tried to arrest the criminals and had to engage them. Sergeant Maggard quickly joined him for support. This was the moment I had my weapons mounted and ready; I quickly left Newark and looked to join my comrades as fast as possible.
At that time also some HA arrived (I detected Charoum, Sammael and Raphael), Apollo's.Arrow and Kailee.Barnes were on site, too. Also the Hind tried to secure some bounty. There were Xenos, Outcasts, Rogues all sorts of criminals. I surely did not notice everybody on scene, it was quite a crowd. I quickly entered combat, but very fast everything changed.

Obviously there was some sort of ion storm which affected most of the ships. Many left within one or two minutes. My ship was not affected that badly and I continued. But Officer Kingman and Sergeant Maggard transmitted that their ships wee heavily affected.

On the comms I heard the San.Quentin, there sure was chaos on that ship; first Rogue prisoners getting into control, then Xeno prisoners fighting them.

The ion storm continued, the Xenos were among the last who dissapeared. After that also Sergeant Maggard and Officer Kingman decided to leave, the storm nearly rendering their ships uncontrollable.

Then it was very quiet in the New York system. I flew back to orbit Manhattan. I noticed a Freelancer yacht, the Diplomatic_Envoy, who tried to sell weapons near Newark. It carried nearly 25 codename guns and some other weapons, but there was not a lot of clientele left.

I then intercepted a call from the San.Quentin (Officer Jackson) telling that the ship is under control and that they needed technical and medical help. They also gave an indication where they could be found.
I was already on my way to the San.Quentin when they contacted me directly asking for assistance, shortly after that I arrived on scene. The San.Quentin was heavily damaged, they also seemed to have troubles with their shield and were unable to activate cruise.

They asked me to escort them to Manhattan and to protect them from possible Xeno attacks. Slowly we arrived at Manhattan where the San.Quentin made first repairs. I then escorted them to Fort Bush where they docked.

As it was very quiet now, I started to patrol from there. I checked Pittsburgh, Colorade jumpgate, Norfolk Shipyard, continued to Houston, Bering jumpgate, then Hudson jumpgate. No hostile contacts. Then I returned to New York.

Shortly after that Sergeant Maggard returned to space. After a short chat with him I continued my patrol to West Point and then turned to the Pennsylvania jumpgate. In the Badlands some Rogues had interrupted the trade lane. I killed two of them, the third fled into the Badlands.

That's when I received a call from Sergeant Maggard telling me that there might be trouble in California. I quickly flew to California.

When I joined Sergeant Maggard there was the Outcast Lea.Lopez in a Sabre. Sergeant Maggard told her to leave the system, but her replies were weird. I first thought she was confused (calling California her territory), but when she insulted Sergeant Maggard it became clear she was out for a fight. She talked about owning California system and told Sergeant Maggard to leave! After enough warning Sergeant Maggard engaged. It was a tough fight. Sergeant Maggard's ship still seemed to suffer from the ion storm.

After a short fight suddenly everything went very fast. Sergeant Maggard's ship did not hold any longer, although the Outcast was damaged already. At that moment I was at her tails trying to finish her off when I was struck by a mine. Instantly the shields were gone and the hull was critical. Before I could activate the nanobots I was killed by additional gun fire.

I do not know what happened after that, but now I am in a hospital ward with a terrible headache.
I do not have access to my camera shots right now, but I could provide some once I have access to my ship.

Today, while on patrol with Officer Kimble, we ran into a self-proclaimed "Catwoman" creature, that goes by the name, Vixen.Ubasti. We happened to come across this woman while she was conversing with two VR Hackers by the names of VR-Kuhner.Herscher[BA]" and VR-Harold.Kane[De].

Knowing the threats that Vixen.Ubasti has made towards LPI in the past, I proceeded to discern which was the greatest threat--the VR Hackers or Vixen.Ubasti. Soon, after listening over the comms, I could detect no real threat from the VR, I asked them to leave the system immediately.

Officer Kimble charged that Vixen.Ubasti was guilty of certain crimes committed against Liberty. He also claimed that he had proof of such charges. Proceeding on those facts, I thereafter tried to take Vixen.Ubasti into custody and instructed the VR to leave the system immediately.

She resisted arrest vehemently and ultimately tried to run. Kimble and I tracked her down in short manner and made a forcible arrest. Her cargo pod has been transferred to Fort Bush where she awaits questioning.

There are far more details that could have been elaborated on, such as Kimble's conduct during the arrest, Vixen.Ubasti's mental stability and her association with the VR, as well as her direct threats toward Liberty Lawfuls.
