Akura is right, I use the Original Picture as a Sketch, then re-draw it. Look at my other Works, you'll see.

Do something with the ship. Perhaps a motion blur or saturate the colors a little bit. Make it look surreal. Normally I might recommend gray scaling the girl, but that might give it a depressed (as in indented) look with the blur and unbalanced with the saturation.

the fact that it looks like 5-6 layers just piled on with a black background layer is what puts me off of that one. it needs to be blended/needs a theme (so to speak), not a generalized arrangement of images.

And that is exactly what it is, and it annoys me. I can't seem to get it to look right... :/
