While a cool idea, there's really no point. You could just park in front of a planet & call it what it is in RP: a geosynchronous orbit.

If you are lazy you can set "Enable spinning planets" from mod settings and let the planet spin, instead of you orbiting it...

/evasive stop - stops performing evasive manuvers

I am Cabulb and I approve of this idea.

On a side note, we can also do what 88Flak has already achieved for years - turret view turning!

I thought it wouldbe a good idea for liners. But it's just another excuse for idling, ergo, slotsaving.

Varok, why I dispense compliments to you, I wouldn't know.

I would, however, second Felix's suggestion of the implementation of turret-view turning. I can not fathom why we do not have it as of yet, and can see no negative side-effects of its addition.

The bases don't orbit when they should so why should you?

Also what do you do when your zoner juggy plows into a load of fighters that were just sitting next to the planet?

This is pointless for an arcade style game like freelancer. if freelancer had even some elements which made it similar to say... EVE where the orbit command/move is actually useful in combat etc; then its a different thing. as it stands, this sounds more like an addition for addition's sake.
