It is not against RP to TRY to run away from the person attacking you, if you think so, tell me how; all I see is that you get POed that you lost someone to Pirate.

concerning 'pvp', its not fun (OR A CHALLENGE) at all to kill your transport in a ptrans or a bomber, so just stop with this whoring argument already (in case you are TRADERS).
secondly, if you want any other interaction than shooting, just stop when you see a message containing stop/halt/cut your engines/etc and your name in it. its hard to scan your cargo and make a demand if someone is 3k away from you and you need to dodge mines and asteroids. also - let me ask you: do you stop when a military/police character tells you to? you do. and after that you can roleplay with him.
if you DONT stop when i ask you to, i tend to shoot you more after i catch you. if you dont TALK when i stop you, i dont have a reason to try to rp with you, do i?

"Cut your engines, gringo, before I haven't started fire" is enought to open fire and take dowon your hull nearly to zero. And only then make a demand. Before you continue to missinterprate rules I suggest to read this. Take a close look at Joe and Larry part. I rest my case.

You might want to look closer at the Joe and Larry part:

Larry doesn't do anything. Pablo now CD's Larry. (Note that at this point still no attack has taken place.)

Larry doesn't do anything. Joe and Pablo now strip Larry's shields and take down half of Larry's hull.
Joe - "Larry, it's time for you to pay us each 1 million credits for ... tax." (Demands have now been made.)
Joe and Pablo wait long enough for Larry to respond. (You MUST give the guy a chance to type something.)
Larry still doesn't do anything, so Joe and Pablo incinerate him. (Larry was a bit stubborn.)
"Cut your engines, gringo, before I haven't started fire" equates to "Larry, cut your engines and hold it." in the example.
You will notice that Joe & Pablo didn't burn through Larry's hull when he didn't do what they said. They further interacted:
Pablo - "My friend, I think it would be in your best interest to quit moving." (And at least the minimum RP requirements have now been met.)
Notice the bold part. Simply telling saying "Cut your engines, gringo, before I haven't started fire" doesn't meet the minimum RP requirements of this server. Stop the trader and RP with him further, if he doens't comply then you can burn him to an inch of his life.
