' Wrote:So, It got me thinking while reading Champ's Thread... Alot of people acting like tards during their first few weeks, even months on the server... Which is understandable. But.

How many people here came into Disco solely for the RP?
Or at least mostly?

I did. At the time I was introduced to Disco, it was by a friend of mine and her Husband. I'd been doing IM RP with them in very excessive amounts, and because of me most of it was sci-fi themed, I was on a severe sci-fi RP kick at the time, and they knew I played SP Freelancer, so they mentioned Discovery to me, got me into it and then quit a few weeks later due to rule changes and restrictions that they didn't like.

I however stuck to it. the Roleplay that I received here in my first few weeks, even if back then I was probably what would be considered as a moderate loltard by most people here, I always stayed in character and I eventually clicked into it and fell in love with Discovery.

I won't be making any Outcast turned Rogue turned Navy turned Rogue turned Bounty Hunter characters anymore...XD

AT LEAST I STAYED IN CHARACTER, even if the story didn't make sense.

But yeah, I came here solely for the RP.

I still stand by that last part though. I refuse to <strike>satisfy all of my sexual fancies by making tom-boy women with big guns, breasts, and hourglass figures</strike> play something I can't relate to.

I dunno Magoo, I think it's pretty funny personally, when people try to RP a female and wind making it act like a male. Not a tomboy, a male.

It cracks me up sometimes:P

But I guess I agree with you sorta kinda, in that people should stick to what they know, which is why I only have one male 'main character'

I came for the RP. And through all the stupidity, I've stayed because there is still plenty of RP if you know where to go and what to look for.

I enjoy folks RPing girls when they hit on any char of mine. Because often those "lasses" have more bollocks than I do.

I came here for the RP, I am an old school RPer, both Table-top and, to my shame, LARP. I ahve done forum RP before, and online RP seemed like a good idea, I'd tried the WoW RP servers and found them lacking, the general lack of RP in MMORPG's made me sad. Then I came here. And now you will not get rid of me.

I came cuz I loved Freelancer. RP? Nah. But it's fun and it's what's kept me here besides the company:)

I found the mod by accident and got hooked by the community, this was way before I signed up here. After having a few encounters in game and reading the forums I came to love RP.

Although I've become very busy recently, I still try to come onto the forums, make a few posts, read some RP everyday. I wish I could say the same for my in game activity though...

I definitely enjoy the community more than roleplay here.

I honestly dont remember how I found the mod but I remember one of my friends from Kansas Gaming (Which still can be found on verison 4.84, you can guess who wanted them to do that:))
He told me about it.

I guess the only reason I came here is because it had the most people. I'd RP'ed before on Halo Custom Edition, so it was nothing new, except in ships. And a very limited game engine.
