Outcasts rely on cardamine to survive, it is their blood etc and when they travel too far away without having any, they suffer disease death and all other manner of dastardly things. Currently the only source of Cardamine available is that on Malta, from where the entire Sirius wide supply is drawn from.
Since the Outcasts have no other viable planets under their control, I was wondering whether they could grow cardamine in biodomes, which would allow them to construct colony ships like the jinkisu, though probably on a smaller scale. These colony ships as I will call them would allow easy long term expansion into more hostile parts of space, without reliance on links back to the Outcast homeland. This ship could provide another RP extension for Outcast players other than the militaristic avenue.
So is there any lore reason why this isn't possible? can cardamine not grow anywhere else, have they not tried? can they not get hold of biodomes? Any ideas?
[color=#FFFFFF]Err as far as I know Cardamine grows on Malta only not even in biodomes. Because if you could grow cardamine in a biodome everybody can try and basically screw the outcasts
Cardamine = orange grass is only on Malta planetside, its a heritage left by the Daam K`Vosh for the Nomads among other things left for them across the galaxy... bla bla bla, so you cannot put it on a ship and move it anywhere, the final product = the drug Cardamine yes. Finito.

Hmm, I trusted some posts and topics too much then it seems. And the reason sounds logical, too.
Also, if any station with biodomes would produce this drug, the trading with it would become wether abused or so nerfed it wouldn't be profitable any more.
[color=#FFFFFF]Cardamine was bio engineered by the DK to grow specifically on Malta. I guess guys advanced as them can code the genes in such manner. Soil composition, air composition, specific UV radiation from the sun etc etc
but surely it is possible to replicate conditions exactly? Unless there is some chemical on Malta that is required that hasnt been discovered yet, which would explain why it has taken so long for it to spread off malta
Well, I guess that settles the debate that it can indeed be grown elsewhere, and so presumably also on biodomes, making a 'colony' ship viable, if not desirable.
