Until we tried coloring the Daumann RP (and for this we tried show a good example for other trader factions how keep their gameplay as an interesting not a boring game - maybe they dont lose theactive membership so fast), we errrr.... not a nice thing but we tried to use up the unlawfuls. We dont fought with hessians, we dont fought with corsairs just only then, when Daumann interest was in danger (our mining ship or trader or allied).

When all was in safe, our patrols talked with the pirates and sent them to our competitors area. We told them what is in the northen field in Omega 7. We did it because what is wrong our business competitors thats good to us. On the top indy corsairs asked a small payment from us if we pay they keep under pressure the northern field:). Sad how Military arrived then, so wasnt deal. Wanted just say, we had a clear politic. Minimize our losses so we dont shoot all "red on scanner". If possible we never shot pirates. We sent them away from us, and we told them all time, if they attack or tax Krugers/IMGs or everyone other than Daumann we dont shoot. Some good RPer understood: a fat Kruger miner alone is more easy and real money than 2 DHC escort who never pay but shoot if necessary. Sad how a lot of idiot search just PvP on unlawful side and they select the DHC escorts. (They usually dont get their fight then, but later in a private ooRP PvP. Just for that how they see we can shoot, just our RP and politic don t allow all time)

I thought about that how we make a business decision and secretly we co-operating with corsairs - some food, light arms cargo to Gamma and money of course and they all time shoot IMG and Kruger miners. That again could be a good point for nasty corporation RP what is our goal. So if we see 10-20 corsair gunboat all the time we errr.... try to make a good deal with them - secretly. And after this maybe DHC-tagged trains wont be rare in Gamma....

I understand your men try play hir RP role, and he try to do this in chat. But In my readings there is time for discuss with enemy but sometimes - no. The WD realize this, thats all. And everyone lose his cold blood if he is outpowered or outnumbered and his "allies" just shout orders but dont help effectively. This is why I dont surprise WD reactions.

That is what the [RM] is. A heavy roleplay based faction.
And that is why so many people have trouble with the WD guys here.

If you yell for help the [RM] rushes over. If you are outnumbered we help , if you are already dealing with things on your own, we won't jump in. If you need help we provide it where we can. I don't believe that the [RM] keeps their feet still while you are being outnumbered.

What won't happen is that we jump them with all we have.

That should answer your line "why the [RM] is not so effective". And I am proud about it.
We could often wipe out everything with a 3:1 regarding the numbers.
I don't need to recall why we don't do it, right?

If the WD choose to just jump in and shoot things without trying to establish some roleplay, I am totaly fine with that. They have to live with it. Well, I have to live witht he complaints afterwards, but thats being solved then.
The [RM] will always try to get the roleplay instead of the pvp. Or at least both on an equal scale.

Regarding your guns: Sure you can go to braunschweig and grab them. Make sure you announce it to the Military being present.
The guns are blue on the chart, free to use for the Rheinland lawfull factions.

I was thinking that maybe if you had sent another officer; we could have got to understand better. The one you sent was not very diplomatic, and from our point of view it looked like he was taking the meeting from his personal view.

Questions he asked where like:
Who threw the first stone?
Why should I risk the life of my men?

He made comments like we didnt know how to handle a corporation.
He didnt take the meeting like a meeting; he orderd one of our representatives to inspect the sun's temperature when we denied that we were using them, and that actually we would take orders from the military.
He told us that we brought this all upon ourselves and becaus it got out of our hands we ran crying to the military
He didnt take our claim of our field like real; like we were inventing it. refering to it like "our" field.
He rushed the conversation to go and have a nice chat with a SCRA gunboat. He believed his words of being there defending the civllians more than ours.
In a few words he didnt looked too happy to meet with us. He looked like wanting to leave the conversation, which he did in a rude way just leaving the group, and rushing to Omega 7 to go and checkt tha gunboat.

Basically at the end of the meeting we felt like he treated us like a joke. In an unofficial note he told us that we were most likely not receiving any help against the IMG. That really left us a sour flavor and harmed the opinion we had on the RM

30 minutes after finishing the "meeting" with him we were proposing a ceasefire to the IMS; we of course knew that we couldn't hold the turf wars anymore.

Personally I think the DHC handled the situation on a stellar level. RP consequences all considered and acted upon, to be honest I couldn't have done it better myself.

- The result of a gruelling wave of attacks from Hessians due to Daumann's own attacks on IMG was to be expected.
- The RM was to be expected not to send that much help, as they are bogged down with a full scale war on another front, and didn't have enough units to patrol Omega-7 even before the war. So it's perfectly in RP what they are doing.
- The only thing that I guess screams a bit "lolwut" is the wave of IMG caps, but that's a problem with the mod (Zoner and IMG caps were a mistake). But it sort of enforced the situation regardless.

Clearly the overt way of fighting IMG didn't work out at all for Daumann, as they suffered losses. But they tried. It didn't work, so they did the only thing they could for the wave of attacks to stop.

Now all there is left is looking for new, more covert ways to hurt the IMG. Kudos to the DHC for handling the situation like a corporation would.

Well if your enemy say you did well then maybe you really did well. Thank you Blodo. All was perfect until capitals dont arrived. We continued our way after this too for a short time. We collected evidence how SCRA, RHA work to the IMG, what is not just Daumann problem but problem to the Kruger too (RHA SCRA gunboats on the northern field example). We hoped how RM (Rheinland Government) make steps against IMG. We dont asked real representation, not this what we needed, but some diplomatic steps. The final goal was that how IMG get an "enemy of the state" status from Rheinland and maybe from Bretonia too (the hessians who guarded Freistadt and patroled Omegas caused problem to bretonian traders too). So then they get a ban from Rheinland and maybe ban from Omega bases (if the government clear all contract with IMG and close freistadt or give it to Daumann...). Lesser with one competitor;).

The capitals and the other faction's guard ships of course dont ment real problem in the fight against IMS, if we use guerilla warfare. 2 bomber can shoot out a mining ship with a transport whatever there is RHA gunboat or IMS and RHA fighters and they can return to Briesen without any problem. If I remember right we dont lost more than 2-3 ships in the whole IMS conflict (I dont count the mercenaries just DHC- tagged ships, Ables Aces another team, another story).

But needed to stop this without government back up, because the whole conflict lost the point. If we continue this way thats good fun some of us inner DHC-, but needed to think about the others who cant fight and who has only mining ship/transport. This is why we gave us finally and made a pactum whith IMG, what again a good for the profit (true, at this moment not just to Daumann but others too). Of course we search the way how can we harm to our competitors, and we strongly thinking about the corsairs - if IMG summoned the hessians, our most hated enemy, we summon the hessians enemies. So I just wait the time when that 10-20 corsair gunboat come to Omega 7, Ivan....

I was rather displeased at the huge number of IMG caps, but decided that there was little point in trying to send them all away.

No, we ( I ) was really happy when the IMG caps came to there. OK in the 1st moment when we see the numbers we was shocked a little bit. We ( I ) thought it will be a good reason to the RM for intervention. A hessian friendly massive capital army on the western board - that must be something. Your reaction was normal, the RM answer was what we really miscounted. Their represent cleared to us, the RM and he personally (a really high ranked officer) wont sacrifice anything for us and he personally like everything better than Daumann. So because that was clear how we cant reach our goal in this way, we just gave up, and sat to the negotiating table. This currently pactum not bad but we ( I ) wanna something more .... nasty. Maybe corsairs will be the key for it....

I would like to drop the note here that his behaviour is part of his roleplay. The character Gunther Rall cares about his pilots and where they die in.
He won't sacrifice them in the Omegas due to a stupid turf war between two corporations.
Rheinland has a war to fight and the soldiers should not die at all, but that is what happens in a war.
He knows that his men will die, so he sends them to the liberty front, so their death was worth for something.

If a man dies at the liberty front, he died for the freedom of Rheinland.
If a man dies at the Omega front, he most likely died for a civilian greedy corporation.

That are most likely his thoughts.

Just you understand his roleplay behind it.
Since you repeated the part that his behaviour and stance towards the Omega problem is really annoying you.

On another note, I like the approach that Daumann and the IMG dont like each other at all.
Its like IMG and BMM. The IMG tries to get rid of the BMM competition and even managed to set a foot into bretonia.

The IMG surely tries the same in Rheinland, but currently they have to face 2 mining corporations at the same time. So its logical that Omega 7 is contested between the two groups.
An interesting situation.

I would like to point out those that the ships RM is flying are built in Rheinland, not in Kusari or Bretonia, and are constructed with the minerals Daumann and Kruger extract, surely not from minerals IMG extracts.
