The Liberty Navy versus Rheinland Military event!

Hosted on a little box. This is a test server, will allocate more processing power if needed for future events.

How to connect to the event server:

Find or make a freelancer shortcut to your desktop and open up its properties.
In the target window you will have a link which looks something like this:

"C:\Users\Nest\AppData\Local\Discovery Freelancer 4.86.0\EXE\Freelancer.exe"

You need to add this line:

[color=#33FF33] -s78.84.200.88:2302

To the end of the target line, AFTER the quote mark, like this:

"C:\Users\Nest\AppData\Local\Discovery Freelancer 4.86.0\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -s78.84.200.88:2302

Mind the space between the quote and the dash.
After that, save the shortcut and the server will show up on your server list.





How to join the event:

Once you connect to the server, please pick a side you want to join. For the ease of group inviting, all Liberty players must use a LN- prefix. All the Rheinalnd players must use a RM- prefix.

After that, by using the /showrestarts command, pick the ship you would like to use. For ease of access, the RM_SNUB and LN_SNUB restarts cover the costs of bombers, fighters and light fighters.

It is advised for the players to make a character for both sides to even the odds.

All characters are set hostile to all factions but their own.





Allowed ships:

The server has a multitide of restarts, allowing any player to get any one of the RM and LN ships. The restarts are as follows:

LN_SNUB RM_SNUB
Both packages cover a snubcraft with a mk8 armor upgrade and 50 million credits. Both sides are docked on a station that sells or is located right next to a station, which sells the faction's VHF, Bomber and LF.

LN_GB RM_GB
A rheinland and liberty gunboat. Both have cap Vs and are located on the station, which sells the needed equipment. Both restarts have 50mil for guns.

LN_LSC LN_LABC RM_Cruiser
Sege cruiser, assault battlecruiser and cruiser. All have Cap V armors, 50mil for guns and are located on the stations which sell them.

LN_BS LN_Carrier RM_BS RM_Carrier
Dread, Assault carrier, Turtle and Elbe. All have Cap Vs, 100mil for guns and are on the stations that sell them.

LN_CODENAMES RM_CODENAMES
Pelicans with Debilitators and Archangels for Shotgun and Shieldbuster enthusiasts.

Special ships:

By special request, each side will get-
One repair ship
One flagship (BS with unlimited core)
One stealth bomber (Unlimited core, dual nova bomber with unlimited ammo, 5k mox. If it dies once, you lose it)




Special events:

Every once and a while, players will be given opportunity to earn better armor, guns or ships on the battlefield. There might be a ship with DEFILER codenames, which can be killed and the codes retrieved.

Other rewards also include cloaks, base platforms, permanent or temporary ship modifications and others.

The event will begin Firday and Saturday at 19 00 GMT +2 and will end on Monday.
However, the server is online NOW for testing purposes. If the lag is too large, it will be moved to a better machine.

Spazzy, are you sure you'll be sober enough on Liiigo to even hit the keyboard? (to those who don't know - that's one of the most celebrated holidays here, in Latvia. Comparable only with New Year.)

I am always drunk. Ligo will not bring any specific changes to that. And I have three pepole flying their chars there, who have admin rights. No worries about that.

Another 2 questions, about Flagships and ship equipment - as I understand, there won't be any cloaks available, right? And does "shiploss on death" apply to Flagships?


LibDread with 3 Mortars and 4 Pulses/Prims, with unlimited core, is much, much scarier then Turtle or Elbe with unlimited core...


Anyway, looking forward to that event. Hope I'll be able to join on Sunday evening... (not on Ligo, unfortunately.)

Cloaks, both lights and heavies, will be given during special ingame events every 30min.

And the flagships will be needed to be kept alive by the team, if they die, you do not get a new one for 30min.
Flagships come with a cloak, of course.
