The Knights Hospitaller Unofficial Faction Document.

Introduction


The Knights Hospitaller. are an extremely old elite organization that dates back to the days of the Sol System. Prieviously called the Knights Hospitaller, The Knights of Saint John are the remnants of the Italian Priory that was established on the planet Earth, during the Alliance-Coalition War, the Knights of Saint John, as ordered to do so by the Roman Catholic Church, fought alongside the Western Alliance, slowly each Priory was wiped out by the Coalition, until only the Italian Priory remained. Of the Italians that made it onto the Hispania Sleeper Ship, fifteen people were members of the Knights. When the Corsairs abandoned the Outcasts on the Sleeper Ship, The Knights stayed alongside their Italian Brethren. Slowly as the Sleeper Ship drifted towards Planet Malta (Which they played a key role in naming after their most familliar homeland on Earth) The So called "Spirits" Or Angels, That slowly helped them drift towards the planet, were percieved as tricks of the devil, or demons. However the majority of the people saw them as their Guardian Spirits.




The Coup

The Knights of Saint John had finally gained the respect of the Outcast Commonweatlh, and were well on their way to gaining a position in the Council, however when it was discovered that the Outcast Catholic Church had been selling information to enemies of the Outcast nation the Knights of Saint John lost everything, there ships were terminated, their bases confiscated. However Alexial Vargas refused to quit and she still supported the Outcast Catholic Church. The Knights split into two factions, the Knights of Saint John (The faction that retained their previous name) and the Knights Hospitaller. The Knights of Saint John believe that their fate still lied with the Church, whilst the Hospitallers believe that success would be achieved only when they denounced their religion and it's supporters. Both sides had a strong dislike for each other, and both sides were headed by a member of the Vargas family, Alexial Vargas headed the Knights of Saint John, whilst Elrainn Vargas was in control of the Hospitallers. When Alexial and her supporters were attending a church service, The Hospitallers assaulted the church and killed most of Alexial's Knights. With Alexial eliminated, Elrainn took control of the remaining Knights and dubbed the new organization, The Knights Hospitaller.

Present

Today the Hospitallers remain on thin ice because of previous events and are looking to prove themselves by expanding the Outcast influence in the Bretonian sector, they believe that this is the area with the most tactical importance is Bretonia, the Corsairs have more influence here than the Outcasts because of their alliance with the Gaians, however the Outcasts do have a foothold in Newcastle. The Hospitallers believe that if they can gain an alliance with the Mollies, there ever waning alliance with the rogues will again be strengthen, then they can further expand in Bretonia, and cut off the main route the Corsairs take to reach Kusari, if they are blocked by Outcasts in the Sigma's, Bretonia, and the Omicrons, then there influence in Kusari will also weaken, which gives Outcasts all the more opportunity to establish more bases, gain more alliances, and more Cardamine smuggling routes. (Yes I know we will never get an alliance with the Mollies)
Goals


Primary Goals

1. Expansion of Outcast Influence in Bretonia

2. Aiding Bretonia in the Conflict of Bretonia and Kusari in the Tau's and Leeds.

Secondary Goals

1. Removal of Nomad Influence in the Outcast Commonwealth.

2. Maintaining a neutral relationship with Bretonian Officials. (Until the Bretonians begin winning the war)

3. Establishing a friendly relationship with the Mollies.

4. Establish a profitable Cardamine smuggling route in Bretonia.

I'd put the [MR] on neutral or unfriendly.
Mollies don't like Outcasts in Bretonia.

Im going to say that bretonia dosent activly assosiate with the outcasts. QCP are a bit diffrent, but the BAF wants to look as clean as possible.

Must you come into Gamma?

We are really sick of idiot Outcasts 'raiding' with dreadnoughts, cruisers and all manner of caps, getting destroyed, and coming back 4 hours later.

If you wish to set any manner of example for the Outcast indies, please, please, stay in Eta.

We don't normally go into Gamma, just put it there because you guys are our enemies, that's all for the most part we want to operate in Bretonia.

I like the idea, actually.

All they would have until becoming oficial if ever would be a cruiser.

Raids would actually be with bombers and fighters.

And Montezuma? All you guys ever do is use caps.

I put my money into this faction. Literally.

Everytime I were to raid...In a fighter, as it's all I have.


On average, I'd see 4 or 5 capital ships.

Carcass, whatever you do, if you're going to insult the Corsairs do it in PM's or in a seperate thread, I REALLY don't want you guys arguing it out here.
