Scanning someone's vessel that has Nomad equipment I will assume by my RP that you are a Nomad infested somethingy. You have a problem with that? Well eat a blue-message sucker.
Think you can sit on your high-horse and tell me that I'm metagaming and whatnot? Complete bull, if ya'll can go around and order allies of mine to shoot me due to "mind magix 1337" then I can sure as hell identify some weird guns you might have on your lil' ship and draw the conclusion to attack.
This got be the most pathetic thing I have seen in a long time.

Exactly, could'nt find better words to explain the facts.
Blargh just change the infocard of the Nommie blaster cannons etc.
Problem solved.
On another note, why not try get back ontopic?
You all "Don't want to start another thread" and yet are posting enough in this topic to make another one by itself.

I see a paradox here.
Strange. I don't. It's a quote of me on Skype proclaiming that the metagaming that is undeniably going on is taking away our fun at RPing something more than yet another zomgnomad-enagagain!!1-faction. But then again, you must be absolutely right and unless we fly in vanilla KNF ships mounting vanilla KNF guns and a KNF ID and IFF, every idiot can see we're infested.

I was in the US Military and we have a rule of thumb to never question nor challenge another person of the service regardless of what they were doing. As long as the other person was in uniform we just assumed that they were legit.
ESPECIALLY in a time of war. When trying to deduce what person B is upto might actually be considered treason and they'll shave off your beard.
*nods knowingly*
Re-reading my own post, I guess I actually ought to apologize here, as I've posted my thoughts on this situation in a way that indeed does not describe what I've actually sought to say, but instead does indeed sound like a load of BS. Sorry.
Let me try to re-explain what I've meant.
You wouldn't be overly curious or suspicious if an otherwise perfectly legit-appearing unit, operating within mission parameters and being on schedule in a low-security environment was having one of it's men carrying a strange gun (for which, if asked, he could give you a perfectly legit reason).
And that's even without the Nomad voice in your head telling you there's nothing wrong with the unit in question;).
Either way - I guess it actually *is* time for me to pull out of this thread as well. It is clear that nothing constructive will arise from this thread, and I've also made a pretty bad mistake in my last post's wording. I also remember why, a while ago, I have decided to abstain from "serious" forum discussions. Thanks to the people who have actually made valid, rational points in this thread and kudos to Ench for managing to bring awesome even into a thread like this.
It's been nearly two decades since the Nomads first became known to all the house governments and learned civilians. Not to mention, CRI and the Order both have had a significant amount of time to study the Nomads and their equipment.
And even the BHG have fought the Nomads for a long time.
Next time you tell me my scanners can't identify a Nomad gun, especially when I'm on my BAF, not 60K from CRI, the premier omnom research institute, you will promptly be met with 'olol, pewpew.'
Don't want me to know who you are, don't use Wilde tags or Wilde guns. Use the ID all you want, I consider that an OORP item for rule's sake (for that is what it is). But the tag and equipment are easily accessible via a ship's scanner.
You want to use the guns, change the names from NOMMIE LAZOR to 'Unknown Weapon'. And change the tag.
ok well hello seems alot is being said about "Ghost.Ship" and alot of other random stuff.
Foofighter apology accepted sir.
Zeltac a little rough there aren't you?
And where the Heck did we get talking about Nomad guns? we as "ghost ships" use no such weapons. On the other hand we do love to hunt nomads thus may explain our crazy nature and sycodtic behavior.
Also "Ghost.Ship" is considering changing ID to Order guard, it seems to fit our RP a little better and the ships we fly. now i know the order will not like this but... i dont have many choices in IDs. I think like a terrorist or vigalanty ID would be good but I just dont know. (input pls)
Please stay on topic i hate reading pointless text it hurts my head.
and thank you all for your input on this subject!!

I dont think order ID would make sense tbh, Segrated Psychotic Corsairs seems to fit more. Isolated from main society a good base could be Etna Base in ETA its far from home right in middle outcast territory
