The way people respawn. Having to shell out a lot of cash to replace or repair your ship might cause a few people to stop and think before mashing the trigger.

Or it'd make people shoot other people for no other reason than to make them lose money.

Make a queue. As old factions wither and die, which will inevitably happen, bring out the first faction in queue that resembles the "lost" one.
At present, it's just too bloody confusing for even the most diehard player to keep up with "who's who".
Afraid I must disagree. While it is confusing, I'd rather deal with confusion than with -if I'm reading you right- any limitation on the growth of official RP venues. '_' After all, that's what the process of applying for official faction-hood is about, making sure that only the reasonable, decent factions with decent amounts of RP supporting them get in.

Not arguing with the process, sir.
Just pointing out that there are finite resources, (server load, bandwidth, number of "small 'f'" factions to join/represent). At some point, the demand for those resources will exceed the supply, if it hasn't already.

Ah, mmk. Well... we'll deal with that when it comes. =D

If I could change one thing? Hmm... I would limit the number of Camaras flying around... I hate those things... Impossible to hit with a Supernova if you're not jousting the damn thing.:(

The strength of bombers. A large amount of ships that require a lotta time to get have been rendered even more useless than they already were by these things. I mean, what's the point of shelling out 1.6 bil for a CAU8 battleship if you can be taken down by 100 mil (including armor upgrades) worth of bombers?
