Possibility of another Bounty Hunter/Mercenary faction?

Heya Guys,

I've been thinking over the last few days, I work at a Security and Security installation business (In the real world), and I was thinking how cool it would be to open one here on Discovery. Catering to the same tasks as the place I work at does. (Well, plus space and spaceships of course..)

I've not really seen many dedicated security factions around, The bounty hunters have turned into more.. well Bounty hunters as far as I've seen. What would the chance be of opening a security faction on Discovery? Catering mostly to escorts (A style more inclined towards booking and actually planning when people want an escort, perhaps days in advance for factions, rather then 'spur of the moment' style escorts), system security and the odd erm.. 'unofficial' task as well..

I just thought it'd be a cool idea anyway.

Meh. I think this is a decent idea if you come up with a decent history and so on. I guess discovery could use another Bounty hunter faction especially doing security cause there is currently not any decent security factions at the moment.

If you can actually edge in on the business of the existing company/companies, I think you'd be as much entitled to a piece of the action as they are.

I was thinking of making the faction in such a style that, we are contracted out to different factions/Companies, Like in real life, Banks don't run their own security, it is contracted out to different companies like Armourguard (A New Zealand security firm). Of course it would all be RP'd.

So say, We work for Daumann, and we carry their tags and communication channels, but we are actually rented from this new security firm. So we'd cater to all sorts of legal corporations and individuals.

On a different note, I was thinking of calling it:

Anyway, Just some thoughts. If people oppose it too much, then I'll go into a dedicated Corporations security.

Armourguard is still known as Armourguard when they are contracted out. I wouldn't suggest adopting your employer's tags. Makes you obscure, and to be honest, that isn't what security firms want.

That is true. Probably a far better idea not to use the employers tags for cost reasons too.

The Daumann already have a long range contract with BHG| and other mercenary subcontractors (individuals and group) and this company have own good security wing too. And we accept those subcontractors who make the dirty works too.... not just escort, security and hunting pirates.
