I always knew their was a Research ID, but never any reason to buy it. I don't even plan on trying to put this in game, but I was thinking about what a large full floating Sirius research vessel would look like. I mean the Zoners have their ship, but I've never liked it's outline. So I was playing around with this, I got the bridge section from a old bomber.

I use a yacht for my researcher (see sig), it does the job.

This is brilliant! Goes well with the civilian line such as the Democritus. Researchers do need some <3

Well the only thing I'd really want is a better scanner or something, but you can turn any freighter/transport/cap into a "research vessel", it's mostly RP.

Am I the only person who thinks it is a little too thick, as well as a little too much like a squashed OC BS?

Perhaps I am not looking at well enough, since I cannot imagine the model fully in my head.

DartStriker, can you show a the model from the front left corner so I can get a skewed sideways view of it? (Your current left most image, except on more of an angle, that is.)

What class of ship is it? Looks like it could be a liner. What's that black space on top of the ship?

I don't really like the railings around the nose end of the ship. They feel a bit Gallic to me.

id like to see it textured.... but from what i see now it can turn out very positive for the reserchers... its a highly neglected role... i have barely seen 10 researchers in my time here, and i mean 10 REAL researchers... not those who use the ID to powertrade Cardi or gaian wildlife

The black area on the top, is actually a transparent glass section. The top down view just messes it up because of the ambient occlusion material I put on it. I figured it could be some kind of storage tank. I half thought about making a model of a whale and putting it in there. (That is a reference to movie. +1 to those who know what one.)

Looks sweet!
Though, the thin pole thingoes that connect randomly with the ship, like tubes, look kinda funny IMO.

Agreed, +1 all around. (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?)

More angles please?
