Since both the Alster Union and LWB were struggling with activity, they looked at their similitarities and noticed that, with some tweaking, both could be merged into one faction, the +- (to represent the Rheinland flag, given our position in it), some kind of Rheinland Workers group, as that is basically what both are. Bundschuh are the political types, we're the grunts who got screwed over. ZOI is almost the same, goals are very similar, the difference is mostly in origin. It would put the LWB as hostile with Republican and Unioners with Synth Foods. We are already rewritting both factions status to merge them into one, and we should be ready in less than two weeks, but since this is a first in Discovery's history, we would like some feedback from the community and suggestions to help us with this idea.
It show me how the LWB cant play out his role fully. LWB not need to be hostile with rheinland firms, if we see the rumors, LWB not so hated as Unioners or Hessians. The rheinland lawfuls are on LWB side secretly - as rumors suggest it. Goals IMHO not really same as you write, LWB fight for Stuttgart, Unioners against Republican Shipping (like Hessians against Kruger and Daumann corporations). Sure in game all of these official player factions made a union and fight against Rheinland Government in the name of revolution, but then no difference between you and bundschuh too. What is the real reason? Too few active member or what? (Im not against the idea, I agree how an official player faction can drive and control his faction future and it can be different what the vanilla game suggest).
I am concerned with one faction representing two npc groups. I also have concerns about the unique points of both factions being subsumed by this new group.
There is little reason for this not to happen inRP and game mechanics wise, it's grand too.
Separate NPC factions reputation wise but organisational wise all one.
Of course you could merge it on the NPC faction level too.
IE, remove AU or LWB and change the other to LWB-AU etc etc.
