I've discussed the possibility of working the following plan as a RP event. The synopsis and some talk have ocured at The Rules Forums.

They suggested I start talking to the factions that I want involved. So, we'll start with the biggie:

Order: are you willing to play ball here? If we're out hunting and we find a PLAYER CHARACTER with a gunship, and are able to get him to surrender, will you guys allow us to 'hijack' a order gunship. Obviously this would mean you would hate our guts and have reason to come hunt us if you'd like.

Liberty Authority Factions: We're fairly rich traders who've gone militant after being attacked one to many times by pirates. Obviously a gunship in your space from another (enemy at that) faction is going to ruffle some feathers. Maybe some love/hate from you guys and a progressive relationship would work?

Let me know what you guys think and where to go from here.

Hello Downbound.

I lead the Order| faction here and I am part of the overall running entity of the Order High Command.

I like to view myself as being willing to let people develop their Roleplay the way in which they desire. (It makes it more fun for all of us) I would be willing to let you use a gunboat for a roleplay event, but i'll need a few more details beforehand. This would also be discussed with the Independant Admirals before a solid yes/no could be broadcast.

Some things I'd like to know are; precisely how would you "highjack" the ship. The Order are a highly trained group of combat operatives who wouldn't give up a gunboat lightly.

Also, for how long do you intend on keeping this ship and for what will it be used.

We intend to hijack it by overwhelming force. Our wing is very good at moving around undetected by authorities. We use scouts, have contacts in trade federations, etc. Scouts move in, clear the area and our forces slide in under cover. Honestly, a gunboat can't really stand up to a wing of bombers and other gunboats (yes, we have other gunboats that we got legally) for more than a few seconds. We intend to find an order player, force his surrender and take his ship. He will be handed an unarmed transport for himself and his crew with a short band radio and sent on his way. We're not into killing people but. . if some feathers get ruffled, so be it.

FTE is the Free Trade Enforcement. We're based out of Liberty but cover trade lanes to several other sectors as well. We plan to use the gunboat in our vigilante endeavors against pirates and others who block free trade. The time we keep said gunboat is as long as we can keep it afloat. Obviously we're not going to be able to dock it anywhere authorities lurk nor with pirates (they don't like us very much). As long as we can keep the hull and guns in working order, she will fly the FTE flag.
