Rocks.

Kinetic Energy Weapons (KEWs) are the most destructive and the cheapest cost of anything. Strap a nice big rocket on a big rock - aim it at where the planet will be in 2 months or so - since it'll take that long to get up some decent speed - and let fly. You can have anywhere from just massive explosions and crates all the way up to pasteurized planet.
You'd think the 'target' home fleet of ships would pick up this incoming rock and pull up a deep core drilling team to drill into the rock, where many die and one stays to detonate a nuclear device.

Side effects of mod development. Sometimes we destroy a system and have to make it again. Being a god sucks.

Hmm, was it working before ? If so, why isn't it working now, those commodities are pretty nice.

Listen to Agmen...he is so far the most intelligent guy in the thread.

Watch this entertaining little gem & get off the fantasy that nukes are such a big deal. Gravity is, in fact the most destuctive weapon anyone can use. -->The physics of starship battles: gravity & potential energy<--

I don't think they've developed nano-technology so they could sling asteroids at each others.

Plus, you're forgetting that those rocks can be easily put off-course too, rendering your sling useless.
