This is a very good station model, but it doesn't fit Trenton.

Maybe it will be the main block of station? Just extend it with few additional storages and docking bays ... perhaps.

Keep in mind we're looking for an upgrade over the too-small station that exists now. We want to
a) make it large enough to realistically dock trains at
b) make it "look" like a corporate HQ as well
c) have it serve as a "trade center" for Liberty (exporting many Libertonian raw materials at a price not the lowest, but relatively close.) [ie, boron, neon, platinum, robotics, etc.]

I think this serves those purposes great.
For b), if those rectangular areas are docking bays, great... if not, we could use some train-sized bays.
In terms of c), we should probably include storage containers or something like that.

Other than that, great work so far.

As Trenton, it looks too small. Trenton is what I think of when I think of Manhattan commodity control, and this doesn't look nearly big enough.

That said, the model looks perfect for a border station. It has that slightly-touristy look to it combined with the nice little scanner things for customs control at a border. Replace Liberty's border station(s) with this please, and/or expand this into a new model to replace a Freeport somewhere. Seriously, nice work, keep it up.

Thank you for proposing Bases instead of Spaming Ship Models.:)
But, if you want to make it big enough to have a realistic size, wouldn't it be better to have some other Horizontal Parts as well? I mean, this looks cool, but in a Big enough size so we can fit Trains in it, it'll look like a Huge Baseball orbiting Manhattan, or more of a satellite than a Station. or well... Maybe it's just me!;)

That seems far too high based on the mesh I'm seeing, have you gone through looking for unwelded verticies and double facing?

First of all, it's good that we finally have station models done. Instead of ships.

The model is good.

But I'll second Sprolf on this one not fitting Trenton. I believed you were going to expand Trenton with new objects or maybe a custom model that would build upon the existing basis. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

Concept of Trenton is to be a prolonged narrow medium-sized station on the orbit that can be docked only from one side. This model in particular needs a lot of space around it, and it certainly cannot replace Trenton where it is (undockable from the side of the planet) or next to Trenton (will get on the way of ships going from Manhattan to Bush). It will need to be moved farther away from the planet. Which means we don't need to get rid of original Trenton, which I personally find a good thing.

Also, the model itself. It does look FL-ish mainly due to the lower part that looks like an Outpost component. Question is, does it match Outpost in size? Then this station is actually smaller than existing Trenton. If it's not, then... well, guess we need to see the textures.

Size comparison with Trenton model would also be appreciated.

Generally, my opinion is that we shouldn't replace Trenton with anything not-Vanilla like. If we expand it, we build the expansion from the components we have, or create a custom model that's close to those component. This particular station would look nicer on the orbit of another Liberty planet, Denver, Houston or LA.
