Yer right, Poli. If you pay closer attention to the meaning of that second german-sounding word, you should notice the irony.

I'm paranoid enough to suspect, that Swift is making a run for very ooc leadership by means of superficially harmless "just RP".

I gave it some thought and concluded the only way the CFF/CR fight can end is the mutual player-player and character-character alienation and the general community preferring the victimized and reputedly "better" colonials in the CFF

Which MEANS regular/government CR gets marginalized and admin-bashed like =BSG= did over a year ago.

Panzer I'm sorry but this is absurd. I love you and all but you need to stop thinking like its real and anyone not in CR is your enemy.

This isn't about metagaming it so that the CFF actually take over and start running the CR. It's about getting a quality group of rpers and adding something more to the taus than OC vs non OC locking horns and killing each other. We're trying to add flavour.

Please, and i mean this in the best possible way, stop being paranoid and unreasonable. It's just a game afterall.

I'm gonna mirror what Dedalus already said to you, Panz.
Also:

Quote:I'm paranoid enough to suspect, that Swift is making a run for very ooc leadership by means of superficially harmless "just RP".
Yet again, this is absurd. First of all, leaders in the CR are chosen by OORP faction elections. There is currently a leader chosen. Unless he quits the position for some unknown reason, which is highly unlikely and can only be decided by himself, he will remain the leader until the next election round by which an asteroid could hit me while I'm crossing the street and render me a puddle of goo (at best).

Also, there's really no theoretical way that things would pan out such that the CFF'd actually win the whole shebang (strike some good punches, definitely), and even if it did, the consequences would be in-RP, meaning their goals being achieved, and nothing OOC would change.
I don't give a hoot about leading the Colonial Remnant as people there have long ago expressed that they don't agree with my opinions and frankly, if they don't like my style, that's totally up to them, they're free to conduct themselves in a manner they like, and I'll still be around to play the actual game with them.

If anyone else who matters feels the same way about this as you do, I'll leave the Colonial Remnant if that'll soothe your aches. I love it and all, but I don't feel like anything good'd be achieved if everyone'd feel like they're being attacked or anything.

Although as long as the rest of the leadership remains as reasonable as it is now, understanding that we're all here to have fun, I'll consider you an exception.

Quote:I gave it some thought and concluded the only way the CFF/CR fight can end is the mutual player-player and character-character alienation and the general community preferring the victimized and reputedly "better" colonials in the CFF
Player-player alienation will only happen if you instigate it. As always, I don't quite care for any conflicts that don't happen while I'm pressing down the right mouse button like a violence-addicted loon.
Character-character alienation, however, would in-RP be quite expected as this is a terrorist faction which'd in all likelihood fight some of its former colleagues.

As for my real relations with everyone in the Colonial Remnant, same goes for any other faction I have a char hostile to. It won't affect my friendships with anyone as long as they don't huff and puff about getting killed on occasion, getting a toy taken away, or what's mostly the dealbreaker - falling into paranoid delusions about myself plotting to instigate a Mass Pixel Takeover™. I plan on cooperating with Baal and the rest of the guys on setting up some events, long running RP, and a few other things which'll get it through people's heads that this is a friendly thing.

As Dedalus said, this is designed to A) Give us something to invest our energy and creativity into, and B) Deepen the RP and activity in the Taus.
You can believe that or not, it is up to you, but all I ask is that we all remain civil, respectful and friendly when not playing our characters, and when we are playing them, that we keep to all of our RP backgrounds and let things play themselves out, sit back and enjoy the ride.

I don't know about all that conspiracy stuff implied by you, panz.

But don't you think that a faction that, in its lore and goals, acknowledges the CR to be a part of disco RP that is worth being dedicated to, is an improvement for CR it self?
I mean seriously, to these folks, CR is more than just another entry on the diplomacy chart. Compared to the others in the past, they don't just go "Engagganing CR!!1" without any written up RP just for the sake of bashing your club inGame. Instead, they give you guys more to interact with and eventually to shoot.
That's gotta be worth something, man.

Was nice and looking forward to more encounters.
Btw , for those in the CR , the CFF have my go and will stay that way till kingdoms come ( aka , till next ellections).
And now we have a terrorist faction... Who said we are not a house of Sirius ?

More like terrorist than pirate, however. A pirate faction is a totally different story, though I have nothing against anyone creating one in the future.

Anyways, our encounter yesterday was good and I'm pleased everyone RPed and PvP was stuck into the corner and pulled out only when RP dictated it.

However, yet again I will urge you not to RP your presidents, consuls, ministers, and other very high ranking figures as flying in Nyxes - unescorted.

While I am aware that characters on Disco don't die except when their owners want them to, I can't stop myself from thinking how it kind of points to abuse of that fact when you'll have the President of the Colonial Republic fly around in a fighter with the common grunts, fighting CFF, pirates, and any occasional riff raff he runs into. And let me guess, his ship will be destroyed again, and again, and again, and he'll always get away.

Kind of defeats the whole purpose, doesn't it? Please RP your political figures accordingly.

I can't force you to do anything, but I can ask you nicely.

P.S.
If you decide against it, don't be surprised that our usual message of wanting to avoid shedding Colonial blood is casually not applied in the case of high ranking governmental figures as they're kind of the ones who we are aiming to assassinate in the first place -as our ultimate goal. So don't expect us to convince your whole conspiracy is wrong because noone in-RP would expect that'd be a success.

As for common grunts it's of course a different story.

Eris certainly seems to have a lot of influence in the Taus lately. Frankly I'm glad I got my freelancer out of there when I had the chance.

That's not to say I don't like this idea - I do - but the Taus (23 especially) are already chaotic enough as it is. Fun for you all, I hope, but I'm keeping to a safe distance. Unless I'm paid enough and offered a good justification anyway...

Well as time goes on I believe that the CFF would, when it gets a hold of some funds by donation or raiding supply convoys, certainly hire some outside help to gather information or even fight alongside them.

It's not going to happen right now, though.

The procedure is, approximately, as follows:
  • PM me here or on Skype, wait for further instructions
  • We might first need to talk to you, might not, depends on a few variables
  • If it's All Good™, we ask you to write a biography/story of your character with motifs according to your own liking, but which would, following the guidelines of the CFF's general RP, convincingly explain the character's motivation for joining the CFF, a reason why he was able to do so (There is no 'Sign up for acts of terrorism' office on a Freeport somewhere), and mostly anything else you want.
Basically, it's to convince us that you have a good understanding of RP in general and, more importantly, the RP and approximate MO of the CFF
  • If we like the end result of the previous steps, you're in
I am aware that the third point was all one obscenely long sentence.

P.S.
You're free to ask any questions about your story as we don't expect you to be a telepath and predict all our literary needs. We're there to give advice if advice needs to be given, and that won't lower anyone's chance of getting in.
