It hurts me a little to say this, but we really dont need a mining ship with gunboat weapons. If we get it, other corporations will want one, causing everyone to get annoyed.
It's mining bonus would never be as strong as the hedgemon, and would doubtfully be as strong as the mafic, so hardcore mining groups would probebly ignore it, and miners who just want to make as much money as possible as fast as possible would stick to the cheap hedgemon.
things can change, its not done yet... and the mining bonus doesnt HAVE to be a certain way... you do know more about it than me. like i said before, it can become a transport... or mabye even a large fighter like the spatail. mabye it could be civilian rather than IMG.
one thing i do know is that mining ships are needed, the industry is growing and more options should be avalible...
and by the way, as far as hardcore miner groups go... I'd have to say im one of the biggest mining enthusiests (bad spelling) ever. i started mining iridium as my primary money supplier about a year ago.
I like the look of this miner. I believe the IMG is rather entitled to their own miner, too. The jaws are pretty neat; I like that rather brutal, efficient, mining look.
The back needs to be flushed out. Sure, it eats the rocks, but where do the rocks go? Stick a processing plant on the back of it. Or a storage bin. Anything to make it seem like this ship just isn't about the eating rocks aspect, but also about the containment and processing of the rocks.

I agree with Shagohad on this once, the back looks like a large chunk just fell off and some engines were rammed in. The front of the ship is very good but a sort of storage facility on the back is in order, methinks.:cool:
