Quote:Like sitting in a bar, in a suspitious hooded robe, with a bright pink tail sticking out, flashing your claws and furry arms at people?
Few things to say to this.
The reason Vixen sits in a booth was because its easier to hide her tail. She keeps it down.
She would make sure to keep her claws/arm visible only to shizuma, one way or another.
Oh, and i wish you would have shot...Vixen isn't as slow as humans, or as easily killed...through her own body, and other devices. You'd take a tranq dart to the back of the neck as soon as you turned away. :P
Like said before, ingame, most of us don't flaunt all that crap around.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.

And yet somehow she's in every bar in Sirius at the same time... Somebody wants attention.

I meant the content is well... a bit iffy for minors if you ask me. You can persue that kinda RP all you like but in my opinion keep it private.
I reckon that is alot worse than a few space furries flying around who are actually... ding ding ding ROLEPLAYING SOMETHING.
That in my book puts them above 70% of the people I seem to see on the server these days.
Vero...
If they're a minor above or at the age of twelve, and they're on these forums and by default the internet, they've seen a lot more grotesque imagery. Puberty insures it.
Moving onto the topic at hand.
Furries don't belong. Sorry, but it's true. Yes, you might argue that eight hundred years later, "Thar is no possible?!". You might then also argue, thirty thousand years later, why hasn't humanity had a battle for the best sentient race with a species in mire-dwelling lizard folk? "Science!" You cry, defiantly.
"Make it plausible!" I retort.
Really, if I ever do something as out of the box as a furry (not that I have, but I've done equally strange RPs), I do some research. If I tell myself, "Hey, it will relate to a government experiment and the planets aligning to create the perfect creation!" I'll look up even rudimentary stuff pertaining to the manner of creation instead of leaving it to the outside world to simply fill in my blanks as to how exactly this thing came about.
Well... And if I were to play a furry, I would pray that nobody caught onto the fact that it's impossible to merge DNA outside of a species. Oh sure, there are wolfhounds and donkeys, but still no dog-men; no matter how various kinky individuals try. On top of that, taking into consideration what an extra chromosome (I'm not saying this in a tasteless manner) can do to human mental capacities, I'm not sure what twenty-three cat chromosomes would do to our mentalities.
Anyways... Do what you want, it won't affect me. Personally though, seeing Starfox and the Pink Panther's mistress in Sirius bothers me. Like I said, though, do what you want. If somebody told me not to wear a hat because they think I look stupid in it, I'd tell them to bugger off and correct them that it was a fine hat.
-Edit- That sounded a lot more hostile than I wanted it to... Q_Q

Kudos:D
Seriously, a good retort, I somewhat agree, and alas..

Took the words right out of my mouth, oh and +1.
EDIT: I don't get the cover, is that a Bactrian being chased by a Manta, which is in turn being chased by a Bretonia Gunboat?
I'm not particularly "Into" furries, but hell, I've seen them in stranger environments than Disco (like, WW2 for example...) And I can certainly understand all the sentiments about Furries mixing into the Sci-Fi realm.
I for one wouldn't really be keen on seeing say 100 out of 200 people on the server playing as Furries. (i.e, I don't want to see everyone and their mother playing a furry in a Sci-Fi environment)
However, a handful of them won't hurt anything, and hell, As long as the people playing them can write up a story that actually works and makes sense within the realm of Science Fiction storytelling, I don't see what harm they are causing.
Again, I certainly wouldn't want to see a bajillion of them suddenly pop up all over the place, but if a small number of people creating working storylines then I don't see why we should be raging at them and slinging hate at them. They've come here looking for Sci-Fi RP, they just happen to be using Anthro characters, As long as they have a working explanation for how they got that way, I don't see the problem. So long as they don't start to you know...outnumber the average humans in Sirius, that wouldn't be right..
Additionally, I'd like to note that while I think furries in space are acceptable so long as they're not EVERYWHERE, they should also expect to be treated with a degree of suspicion, curiosity, xenophobia, mistrust or outright hate, by the majority of Sirian Humans, unless they manage to build up friendships or relationships with people, get people used to their presence.
They shouldn't expect to be interacted with as if they were 'normal' right off the bat. Humans fear what they do not know, it's true now, it'd be true in 818AS, it's in our nature.
