We're more than capable of co-operating.

We're just waiting to do it at the right time, so we don't have morons on the hunt for them and we understand
what it is we require it for.

We're not making bases just to be in the 'cool kids club' Too many dick heads in that club to be associated with them.

And with this,I agree.

And now,if we build enough bases close together, link the shields....we can haz New York...IN A SHIELD BUBBLE !

What i want to see is a LNS group build a base at NY jumphole to Texas. Then watch all the screams of foul/OORP that comes from pirates that have a LNS fleet 10K from their pirate base, and still claim the navy does not know there is a rogue base 10K away.

They must be marking down the locations of bases and sitting around the area hoping to pick up some money, since I assume people would be more willing to give something since the run is considered more 'valuable' than just credits, that is if part of a team.

Of course, the majority of pirates seem to be working on their own bases. For me, I see a player-made base's main use to be for independent factions who don't really have their own base (the Neo-Terran Front is an old example that comes to mind, in their question to colonize Kansas or whatever they were trying to do).

As for me... my pirate has been busy. Not stalking bases and extorting them, but just picking up on the increase in traders in general (even if they're not supplying bases, you have people trading to build money to pay for the bases in the first place).

Bah. OSI was looking forward to player bases as we hoped we'd obtain a slew of contracts from other factions. What did we get? Not much. I've had one player ask me about having OSI help his group with their base, but they are extremely hesitant to tell us where it is. To be honest, I'm fearful that the base's location might get leaked and meta gamed - not because I don't trust OSI members; but because we're all human.

So no, we aren't getting more business and I am thinking that perhaps our own base might be a solution to our current activity issues.

Yep, this pretty much. ALG was asked for a single contract for MOX to Krupp, and a single shipment of nuke devices to another group.

OSI, TAZ, Gateway, Kishiro, IDF hasn't seen any increase in RP contracts. Sure, some groups are spending their energies supplying their own bases, but I'm seeing far more indie ID'd traders belonging to those factions doing the grind.

Congress, like the Zoner factions, is prime for both lawful and unlawful contracts, but so far only a single one offered and that turned out badly, with the base owner only paying 1 credit per unit on the sales, expecting the junkers to take a loss on every trip.

Prices don't have to be excessively high, but to quote a friend, "We're not running a charity here".

So no, I'm not seeing an increase in contracts for the lawful or semi-lawfuls in a wide variety of factions.

On the piracy end of it, yeah my Mollys are having a field day. Yesterday we got four transports one after the other and ran of of ptrans/ptrains to haul the cargo.

On a third front, being paid to scout out the locations of bases has been good for me so far, as has identifying the ships and factions who supply those bases. In one case I made 10 mil for spending 5 minutes in game and making a forum post.

So far in regards to role play, piracy and mercing seem to be where to find it. Transport factions not so much.

OS&C| haven't gained anything from player bases. Really, player bases only support certain factions, but not all.

I wouldn't expect all factions to grow as a result of the bases, but at least some should.

Look at the Trade/Commerce forums and all the offers/requests for supply help.

I betcha im the only one that hasn't contributed to the growth of the trade factions.

we are on lv 2 have shield storage module cloak factory

once we have build cloaks for our ships we will go public and sell them

now to the point about the bases

most of the oficial factions leaders are sow sow dam lazy

dam where is the famos David Hale???

in 1 year that i have play disco i have seen him 4-5 times in total

why he dont organize the LN, LNS and start building a baze??

why the famos benitez TBH and black sails dont organize and build a base?? or are sow busy ordering inde

sairs around and acting like they are the bosses!!!!

i say bravo bravo 100 times to the RM coz they work rely hard

i tell to the ppl that dont like the bases to shut up and move their lazy asses and work if they want devices
