"Why I oughta-" said the man who had recently silenced Petrov. He took a step forward with his fist balled up as if to hit the man. Keller however, held up a hand to silence him.

"My dear man, these suits are rather stylish if you haven't noticed. You see, if, say by some totally random chance the police decide to storm in here to try to, erm..."

"...kill us." Petrov finished.

"Right, kill us, we can survive and probably give them a run for their money...no reason they would want to come here to take us away though...no...not at...not at all. That and I don't like going out to public outings because I find solace in the fact that no one knows what I look like...you know...it's better for relations with pira--certain individuals."

"Nice one, boss." said the man to Kellers left.

"Well, sir. I won't contest your right to wear that.. thing. Nor do I plan to engage in fisticuffs with your.. flappers here.

"What I will say is that a cabbage in a suit of fancy menacing armor is still a cabbage.

"I believe my services are no longer required here. Good evening to you."

With that, Mal tossed the uneaten plates of food onto a nearby chair and sauntered out of the Chapel without a backward glance.

Diederick sighed softly and headed toward the exit, stepping into a waiting shuttle and leaving without a word. The TAZ could wait.

Vixen sighed. She walked past the power-suited men.
"The wedding is finished, apparently. The bride and groom just left." She said, passing. Her tail brushed against Keller's arm as she left. The sound of the roaring gunboat engines outside shook the chapel slightly, but nothing was dislodged.

A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.

A figure in a red duster and bowler cap sauntered in, his smile flipping around as he beheld the scene. He absently handed his rather anachronistic revolver to one of the security guards by the door, took a few steps in, and stopped. "Well, Kali girl," he addressed the black cat on his shoulder. "Looks like we're more'n fashionably late this time." In response, the cat batted at his handlebar mustache, got bored, and started licking her paw instead.

With a sigh, Linus decided he might as well see if there was anybody he knew. His crew, who'd been mooring the Loose Ends while Linus dashed to the chapel, would soon catch up; and he didn't particularly feel like looking as if he had no idea what he was doing when they arrived (though he, in fact, did not). He did a double-take at the guards, with their armor and heavy rifles. Are those things even legal? They might not be...but then again, several of the guests were probably known criminals or even terrorists...it was well-known that Brakk had unusual friends.

The Erisian shrugged and kept looking. Before long, he located Mal near a trio of people wearing a wholly excessive assortment of armor, and a robed woman. Mathias, his engineer and sometimes gunner, was the first of his small crew to enter. With obvious disappointment, he left his ceremonial sword and pistol at the door. Dahlia, his first mate, didn't have to leave anything at the door because, as usual, she was unarmed anyway. They joined their captain as he made his way through the throng to the Episkopos.

Upon passing the robed woman, however, the cat on Linus' shoulder had a very curious reaction. She jumped nearly a foot straight up, her fur poofed out, and with claws out she held onto Linus' left shoulder - which was heavily reinforced for just this reason - for dear life. This distracted him just long enough to completely miss Mal as he left the building. By the time he realized Mal was gone (as in, by the time Mathias realized his captain had not, in fact, noticed the familiar robed man brush past them), the strangely robed woman had gotten up and left as well. Kali gave her retreating form one last hiss for good measure - though in all likelihood, the black cat's fear and surprise hadn't even been noticed by any other than Linus and his crew.

Dahlia patted his unoccupied shoulder. "I'm sure it would've been a..." her voice briefly trailed off as she finally saw the small pool filled with rubber duckies in front of the broken glass window. "...lovely...wedding, but it looks like somebody flew the coop. We might as well get going, too."

With a sigh, Linus retrieved his revolver, and Mathias got his pointy thing and noisy thing back. The Erisian started to say something to the few people that were still in the building, but he didn't know anybody, and they were probably leaving as well. Having thought better of it, what was going to be a grand gesture became a little wave and a shrug, and Linus and his tiny crew left the chapel as quickly as they'd entered.

The man in an aviator coat sat with his legs crossed as one of the last few remaining in the room. The holographic rice on the floor flickered and faded and the man stood up.

"Well, that was weird."

He then proceeded to the door of the chapel and paused to mention to the usher;

"Let me know when your holding another shindig old boy"

;And placed another credit card in his jacket pocket before leaving.

The man calling himself Laibach jolted out of the minor shock he had been in from the sudden turn of events and held back a tear, sniffling a bit. "Damn... just goes t'show ya that nothing ever goes right, 'ow it should, dunnit?" he said, turning to his left, only to find that nobody was there anymore. As he looked sheepishly at the wall, suddenly interested in how totally white it was, he moseyed on over to the refreshments table and picked up one of the bunless hotdogs with two fingers, looking at it with mild confusion and slight distaste, before downing it quite quickly, obviously glad for the free food. He pulled out a PDA from his back pocket and scribbled something down, before replacing it and walking around aimlessly.

Even though Felix had predicted this wedding to be a disaster, he was still surprised that the ceremony just went bonkers in such short amount of time.

"What a waste of time," Felix said in disappointment, "glad that's over with, now where's that Mal guy, I have some unfinished business with him."

He caught sight of Mal leaving the chapel in a hurry. Felix immediately got up and chased after him and managed to get to him just before he leaves the site.

"Hey pal," Felix tapped Mal on his shoulder, "I have a fairly good idea of what this 25 million credit transaction is for, I don't know you and I don't care about your intentions. Please take your credits back, I'll not accept this bribe."

Felix handed over his datapad to Mal. He couldn't read Mal's face, was it approval or was it disappointment?

Mal froze, with Felix's datapad in his hand. Felix added, "You know, I might be a corporate scumbag, but I'm an honest and conscientious corporate scumbag. You seem like a mellow fella, maybe I can negotiate a timeframe in which you can renovate this chapel to Sirius standards and prevent it being shut down by force."

A quick entry into the officious-looking datapad, a thumbswipe, and the 25 Million in "escrow" to Felix Cabulb no longer existed. Of course, did electronic "tickets" ever "exist", except as information?

"Timeframe, sir? I'll tell you about timeframes. The Chapel was rented by the Groom, for the duration of the Wedding, which is now over.

"I haven't a clue who the actual Owner of this Chapel is. I imagine a resourceful man such as yourself can track him down in jig time. Find him, and you've found your culprit."

As Malaclypse strode up the ramp of the Sophie's.Colonics, he couldn't resist one parting shot, and called back over his shoulder at the rather gloomy-looking bureaucrat:

"Oh, Cabulb! Call me if the Owner refuses to cooperate. I've been tossing around an idea for a combination Religious Monument/Historical Site/Recreation Venue...

"Ever hear of 'Bowling', sir?"
