More credits - no.

However, it's hard to get contracts, for supplying bases, since people fear metagamers... rightly.

Why? all the base builders are just power trading there arses off to supply themselves. It is actually funny. So far i found 5 bases just following the fools.

Unless they're making deals discretely, I know no Official trading faction in Liberty is locked in to a supply contract.

Possibly because Liberty has none of the harder to acquire goods both close and cheap - only the most basic of supplies.

Either that, or we're waiting to build our own bases when the time is right.

Bases completely changed Freelancer. In a good way.

Yes, trading has become better. A lot.
People transport goods that are not worth 40 millions, but still have relevance. Their loss is not painful, but still has consequences. It makes trading much more relaxed, reduces anger on cargo loss and is generally adding a nice new touch to the game.

Like Del states. Is this good? I think not. It is turning into Power lancer. Lets all ban others from using thier own bases. Why? Because we can, and we want our group to be only players with own base.
It truely saddens me. It is starting another downhill spiral of abusing a new feature, that will soon cause new rules, and new rage threads when something is taken away, or limited.
