That's because we're woowoo-ing, not Q_Qing! Two new systems, a shipyard, new trade partners, and the possibility for some recoup RP? That's on top of the other stuff.

He can't, he promised he'd keep them around to annoy Akurawr.

Don't railroad the players.
Let us INTERFERE with the plotline!
Let us change the happenings by our actions on the server!
in general a bad idea as it will result in metagaming and a complete lack of fairplay. Might work for official factions only and under admin supervision though.

Erm??? What???
You know that this opinion is the reason why we loose numbers?
Edit: haven't you read what some of the writers above stated? They don't care for the plots any more for exactly this reason.
Why should normal players not interfere with the plotline?
The sense of a plot is to be played, not to be viewed like a TV movie.
They will turn Gaia into a wine making planet filled with grape plantations...With an orbital wine refinery to boot.
They will invade the sirius market. Selling ugly french cars and ships to the unsuspecting public.
Gourmets will flock to Gallia to try French cuisine.
Be afraid be very afraid. The Frenchies are coming!
Wait? What happens if my ship is docked on Aberdeen? Does it mean it gets blown off the station? What happens to ships on stations which were previously under the control over its proper faction, then taken over by the French guys? Undock and die?

And we wouldn't lose members if massive BAF 10:1 ganking would force Kusari back to Tokyo or even into Honshu? The current attitude concerning fairplay is low enough, no need to encourage people to make it any worse.
Furthermore go play the plot. But stay within the guidelines that are given to you. Oh, and play an average soldier instead of the superhero who decides how the story moves on. Guess what, he doesn't have much influence on it.

Well.... All I can say for the moment is that it's all going to be a very interesting and tense situation.
My positive or negative thoughts of the storyline aside, as they don't really matter as the storyline is already there, I say we should just go ahead and try to make the best of this.
Also, an associate and myself will be adding our personal, (non-CR), but Colonial-related RP contribution in the form of a very interesting concept which will go towards adding more depth to the complex RP and diplomatic situation that'll be the Taus. Although, it's of course nowhere near the magnitude of what Igiss did with the storyline and it'll only be unofficial.
Wanted to announce it anyways since everyone's reading this.
As long as things are taken care of in the end and noone's RP is damaged much, this might be the thing that shakes stuff up.
Let's hope for the best and make it the best.
That is all. For now.

Hope the GRN will be crushed by the hundreds of LNS cap-fleet.:P
Otherwise great story, although i think that because of Gallia's intentions peace talks between some of the houses would likely happen, e.g. Kusari, Bretonia, IMG, Liberty alliance thingy..
Might have missed something in the text though, im sure theres a reason there wasn't one.
