Rules

• 0.0) This is a game. It's in fact not about winning the dough (it served only as bait to lure you into this) but activity, experience, sportsmanship and most importantly: Fun. 'Be excellent to one another.'
  

Schedule

• 1.0) Scheduled teams must independently organize their matches.
  1.1) A scheduled match must be played before the deadline has passed.
  1.2) A referee must be present at every match.
  1.3) It is allowed to play future matches during a week they were not scheduled in.
  1.4) If both teams forfeited their scheduled match, they are allowed to replay it at Week #8.
  2.0) Factions are allowed to fight each other within their RP &/or ZoI under following conditions.
  2.1) The fight must be held 30K above or underneath a Sun.
  2.2) There must be no spectators or any other PCs in scan-range.
  

Play-style

• 3.0) All fights are 4on4
  3.1) Fights may be held 3on3 or 5on5 if both sides or the referee agree on it.
  4.0) Ladder System. 28 matches in total. 7 matches for each team. The team with the highest Score wins.
  5.0) No spectators of ANY kind tolerated.
  5.1) Participating teams agree to destroy any potential spectator prior to the fight.
  5.2) If both teams and the referee agree on it, up to two players are allowed to spectate.
  

Score

• 6.0) The team with the highest score at the end of the season, wins the competition.
  6.1) If two teams have the same number of score points at the end of the season, I final match will decide the winner.
  6.2) A Team that wins without loosing a single fighter gains Three Score Points.
  6.3) A Team that wins but looses one or more fighters gains Two Score Points.
  6.4) If both teams do not survive the fight, they both gain One Score Point.
  6.5) A Team that looses but destroys at least one fighter gains One Score Point.
  6.6) A Team that looses without destroying a fighter gains Zero Score Points.
  6.7) A forfeit win results in the gain of Three Score Points.
  6.8) A forfeit loss results in the loss of One Score Point.
  

Players

• 7.0) Prior to each match, Factions may choose any 4 (respective 3 / 5) players from their displayed roster.
  7.1) If a player is member of multiple factions, he can choose freely on which side to play before a fight begins.

• 8.0) The following ship types are permitted:

  8.1) Weapons, ID, IFF, Fighters must be consistent with NPC Faction or Faction Status in case of an unconventional faction.

  8.5) Nomad weapons are banned
  9.0) Full Bots / Bats

Disqualification

• 10) If a player is warping too hard when attempting to attend the competition, he will be warned, forced to take a time out and temporally disqualified if he fails to improve his performance.
  11) Cheating will lead to the disqualification of a team.
  12) Constant drama, whining, gloating and other displays of un-sportsmanship will result in disqualification of individuals or factions.
  13) A team that did not manage to attend to at least four matches, will be disqualified. All score points gained by others because of this team's failure will be erased.

Match#1.1 : XA vs BD

The match started out even. The first 60 bots were burned equally fast on both sides. However, the first target, ]bd[Hikari, was crushed between two mines, one of them belonging to XA-Sunbeam who left the blue fingerprint of demoralization on the dragon's heads. Hikari died with bots aboard. The following minutes were used by the XA to extend their advantage by 50 bots. They would keep it until and after the next kill: XA-Deathadder didn't receive his team's bots in time. This was exploited by ]bd[Red.Dragon who blew him up with a MR beam.
Still, the Xenos kept their bot advantage which turned out to be decisive as the dragons did not manage to make another instant kill.
]bd[Dramatic.Exit died to a CD+Mine as he was out of bots. He did not use his last breath to ask for the 50+ bots from Red.Dragon, but yelled "SPARTA!" instead. The rest of the fight turned out to be a separate 1on1 between Red.Dragon and XA-Sunbeam who had been the target since the death of DeathAdder. As well as a 2on1 where XA-Taipan and XA-Pitviper successfully ganked Sum Gok Li. After a short time, all of the Xenos would concentrate on Red.Dragon to show him his entrance into nirvana with Taipan kicking him over the door step. Sum Gok Li followed shortly afterward. It is a save assumption that he was the last target because of his odd name.

Match#1.2 : BPA vs ZTC

After two hours of waiting, the BPA finally managed to get three players together. Scanning the equipment of both teams, one would notice quite some odd choices: Even though the ZTC would have to fight vs ANZLAG LFs, they chose to actually field a GMG Bomber and to use Dep MK1's paired with codenames on their Sabres. Taking the lag of our friends from down under into account, it was pretty much spray and pray for them.
However, the BPA brought some great equipment them self: Two Hussars and one Cavalier (!) which is the MK1 version of the Hussar. Level 5. 15 bots/bats. 2000 Hull.
Grand choices.
The fight began as expected: Both parties tried to focus on the most useless ship, namely the Bomber and the Cavalier. While the Cavalier managed to elegantly dodge almost every bullet that flew into its direction, the Bomber was eating those 9s pretty good. As a result, more than 100 bots of the bomber plus another 10-20 spare bots from the team were burned down and the Bomber destroyed with BPA)Lucy.Silsbury getting the blue line. After that, the BPA tried its luck on the two remaining Zoner Sabres. After roughly ten indecisive minutes of further fighting, BPA)Lucy.Silsbury lost her shields by hugging a mine and charged directly into (]c[)Charles.M.Burns' Minirazor afterwards. She died with almost full regens.
The BPA, now left with one Hussar and a Cavalier, didn't show any sign of demotivation, however, and bravely continued the fight. The Zoners, who had let off the slippy little Cavalier a long time ago, now concentrated their fire on BPA)George.Ericson who's shield was constantly down as a result. Unfortunately, he made some rather unpleasant contacts with his own mine (Possibly due to lag issues) that led to a swift death.
The fight ended with two homicidal Zoners and a young officer named BPA)Alice.Ross, who gleefully steered her Cavalier through the NY Hole that lay in a 50k distance when George bit his mine. She was disquallfied with full bots (15) and reentered Connecticut in order to finally have a cup of tea at New Haven's bar.

Match#1.3 : RFP vs VF

After a few minutes of waiting (for the referee) and organizing on the Volksfront side, both parties were ready for a 3 vs 3 fight to the death. The RFP consisted of two Phantoms and a Falcon, while the -VF) consisted of three Sabres.
The fight began with the -VF) focusing mostly on the pilot RFP|Pdt.Hildebrandt, while the RFP focused their fire on -VF)Kai.Rheindhart. Both sides began deploying Nuclear Mines while the RFP would attempt to wait to correctly time a Cruise Disrupter into the player next to the mine, hoping to set of a detonation with the opposing player in the blast radius.
The first elimination of the match was RFP|SEK-Phantom.01. -VF)Marcell.Steyner got the first blood via a nuclear mine detonation.
The second elimination of the match was RFP|Insp.Putzkanner. -VF)Daniel.Boehmer dealt the finishing blow on the Phantom with a Minirazor.
With the RFP down to one player and the -VF) with no losses, -VF)Kai.Rheindhart suggested that the event should be brought down to a 1 vs 1 duel. Both sides accepted this proposal and a duel was on. Since RFP had only four class 8 Debilitators in total, the Volksfront pilots didn't loose a single regen until this point.

The duelists were:

It took a few minutes of dodging each others mines and CDs, with the occasional direct hit from their guns. Eventually however, the last RFP player was put out of action by a fatal hit from a Minirazor.

Match#2.1 : AGS vs VF

The match started out rather goofy with the team leader of VF calling out the first target in system chat before the fight even started due to a key binding failure. A couple of "FAIL!" and "LOL FAIL"s later, the match would finally start. With the VF fielding three Sabres and an Odin, their lineup wasn't nearly as colorful as AGS': One Arbeiter, an Odin, an Eagle and a Switchblade.
When the match began, AGS tried to focus their fire on -VF)Malcolm.Arison. As they didn't made any progress on his hull in the first two minutes, however, they switched to -VF)Marcell.Steyner and stayed on him for the rest of the fight.
VF on the other hand went down the list by targeting the least agile ship first.
The actual fight was a rather short one: AGS-U|Gisa.Hilbert died within the first five minutes to a minirazor as she didn't use her bots in time. AGS-L|Eva.Morgenrot didn't manage to get her team's bots in time and was put out of action by 9s as a result. A daring maneuver of AGS-L|Franz.Mehler caused him to loose his eagle to two mines when his shield was down. AGS-L|Bastian.Brauer died as he didn't instantly use nanobots when getting the fatal scratch that would make him an instant kill to a Minirazor. After the fight, both sides bowed to each other like true gentlemen and wished each other their best for the upcoming competitions.

Match#2.2 : XA vs RoS



With both teams sharing a number of members, the fight started and ended with fairly friendly atmosphere. As anticipated, both teams showed up in their regular gear: Eagles with debs and widows; and Sabres with debs and Krakens.
The first targets were XA-Gapper and [RoS]Victor.Reyes[X]. Soon, however, the Reapers would switch to XA-Harrier.
While the snakes made only slow progress on Reyes' hull, the reapers managed to take down Harrier swiftly. At the point of his death, Reyes still had 34 bots. With the Xenos now outgunned, they dealt even less damage. When the next target of the reapers, XA-DeathAdder, died, Reyes was still at 23 bots.
In the following phase of the match, RoS took advantage off their superior numbers and pressured both of the remaining Xenos by putting Kronos and BasCelisk on XA-Gapper, while Reyes and Enojado would try to take down Pitviper. With both Xenos resisting in uncoordinated yet (given the circumstances) effective fashion as Pitviper managed to hit a few times with his MR - one time on Enojado's hull - they gave the reapers a run for their money. However, with Pitviper being destroyed and Gapper following him shortly afterwards, they were eventually successful.
Both sides didn't share a single bot.

Match#2.3 : ZTC vs RFP


Surprisingly, RFP didn't get their highly anticipated fourth man online which meant that (]c[)Whesto.Dwanianm, the fourth of the ZTC, had to stay out of the competition in order to enable a 3on3. However, as all parties agreed to his presence during the fight, he was at least able to watch his team winning the match.
The RFP brought three of their Mjolnir Super Heavy Fighters - two of them equipped with SNACs while the Zoners showed up with a Sabre and two GMG bombers.
As the gear of both sides indicated, the first SHF was destroyed only 20 seconds after the match had started.
When some unexpected Bundschuh NPCs showed up, the fight had to be paused and relocated from a 40k to a 60k distance to the gate. As some Zoners kept on firing even though the ref yelled at them to stop, (]c[)Charles.M.Burns:. (the only VHF of the Zoners) had to take a 60 sec time out as a penalty when the fight was continued. Shortly afterwards, the second RFP vessel, piloted by Regenkurt, was destroyed by Boll's SNAC.
With only one police officer left, (]c[)James.Ferguson decided to stay out of the rest of the match. A generous and sportive gesture that seemed to backfire at first: RFP|Det.Dominik.Mertins managed to SN Bolls GMG Bomber. Still, Ferguson stayed out of the fight and rather watched the duel between Mertins and Burns that dragged on for at least fifteen minutes, rather than aiding his last companion.
However, Mertins (Ping constantly higher than 150) decided to surrender after some time, as it was clear to him that he would loose the fight in the long run with Burns dealing enough damage to his hull and due to the fact that he wouldn't be able to SN the Sabre that was ultra evasive when its shield dropped.
