I have been reading several posts lately of the efforts of the admins working with players on correcting there role play status, (correct ID's, tags with their ships and such). I'm sure that many player's here can have a hard time, (me included) of understanding all of the factions, and their diplomatic status with others.
One idea I thought of is about creating a tool to help new players with obtaining the correct ships, ID's and reputation tags with the RP characters they create. (Either a post or spreadsheet or something)....
The challenge is that this tool can be quite an endeavor to accomplish. It will need the help of everyone here to help obtain the proper information. Once all the information is gathered, and displayed on a proper format, I believe that Igiss and all contributors to the mod and server operation should analyze and give their blessing before posting it.
I feel that if this tool is created, than many of the RP problems that are occurring here may be reduced or possibly eliminated. How do you feel about this idea and what suggestions do you have to implement this tool properly?

He isn't talking what ship class, but what ships. For example; Outcast ID may say Battleships allowed. But Admins aren't going to allow someone with an Outcast ID to be flying a Liberty Dreadnaught around.
I have to admit, I'm having a problem with losing my current tag - it states Navy (i think) and I have a Bounty Hunter ID and soon gettin' my Bounty Hunter ship.
Do I have to annoy the navy so much that they become neutral, do I have to do a crap load of Bounty Hunter missions, or is there actually a better way ??
Tags can be your first issue Tooltip Troubleshooter, mesa thinks...

Get Bounty Hunter rep to max, make it right below Navy on the rep sheet.
Go to a navy base and abort one Liberty Navy Mission.
If you don't have the bounty hunter tag yet, go do one bounty hunter mission.
Denelo is on the right track here, but just a little to simplified.
To get your BHG rep up to number two, you will have to abort three missions, for safeties sake, for every
other full green faction on your rep board. DO NOT KILL ANY OTHER SHIPS WHILE DOING THIS. This makes
the reps move around way too much.
When the BHG and the Navy are the only two full green reps on the board, then abort your Navy missions
till you lose the tag. This unfortunately can take quite a few, in my experience, up to nine. you will probably
have to make them neutral. The tags will then change over.
It will take a little time, but its guaranteed to work. I have done it so many times before without a problem.
Just think in your mind about RPing the changes. Better that than having to delete the char to start again,
or flying around out of roleplay. Treat it as part of the game
Any questions on this please feel free to PM me, the method has been worked out, tried and tested, over a
long period of time, and is almost one hundred percent infallible. Patience is the key ...

Ok, I'll start out with pulling the information on the ID's and pasting them on a spreadsheet. 3 columns so far, ID, Description, and Allowed ships. once I get that done maybe we can look at what should be done next... Thanks for the input :)
