I will try to change player names. This can only be done right before server restart when no players are online (of those who are changing names).

Therefore I need a complete list of players who wish a tag, and brief instructions on how to add the tag. I think that [CO] will be fine for coalition, but we should agree on the tags before we apply them. Maybe [C] and [A] will be better? There should be one standard for all players, having both [CO] and [C] tags is no good.

And who is ready to lead Coalition and Alliance fleets into battle? There should be leaders of some kind I think.

Strictly speaking it shouldnt be necessary - if youre not tagged [CO] or [AL] then youre neutral. But in the interest of keeping everything as streamlined as possible, a [NE] tag might be applied to those who do not want to be part of the war?

My battleship char (Denier-of-Soup) needs a [CO] tag as well. I'm keeping my trading char neutral.

I shall gladly join the Alliance, to make up for numbers ^_^

EDIT : After Consideration, I've retracted my offer, and leaving the server after only 50 minutes of play.

You're going in the wrong direction here. Firstly, Less and Less people are using fighters, and going with Battleships. Now, Correct me if I'm wrong, but you always have more fighters than Battleships.

Secondly, the plans for the Above named battle, is Battleships only. To me, I believe it should mostly be Fighter battles; using Battleships for Large Invasions, or Support should Fighters in an area be overwhelmed.

The Mod is good, but you're server has serious issues. You should follow in TFL, with TFL 2.0 coming out:- Battleships Limited and Restricted to a few people.

This isn't TFL, this is Discovery. Unrestricted access to battleships is one of the main reasons this server is getting more people. Limiting them to only a few people would defeat the mod's purpose.

It's good that people are having new ideas, but the pirate thing didn't work because you didn't role-play it within the existing system, which is perfectly good enough.

[AL] and [CO] is just like [H] and [X] on the Jolt servers, which is one of the reasons I left. The other being this excellent mod. Being taxed or attacked by an [X] pirate showing as friendly was just daft, and the same thing will happen here.

I judge pilots by their reputations and actions on the server, not by a tag they just happen to put in their names.

I think this is a bad idea, but I'm outnumbered 12-1 at the moment.

No it isn't. Pirates attack and tax neutral players, Alliance and Coalition members don't. Neutral (tagless) players, whether in a battleship or not, will be left alone. Basically, you have a choice of participating or not.
