Several things:
- The reasons I made this change are in the first post.
- Mining is still profitable.
- Most people don't like change.
- I've recalculated the prices based on the trade route feedback from some people. These will take effect next restart.

Unless you need to buy a cap every two weeks, that kind of income isn't necessary. I don't have a problem with you ICMG fellows, but the attitude of certain players is a tad too negative. The end of mining isn't the end of the world. We're here to have fun playing a game, right?

It's not as if mining was taken out. If you have lots of fun mining, and you really enjoy the RP, mining is still there. You just won't make as much money. So, are you <strike>crying</strike> complaining about losing your fun and RP, or about not making as much imaginary money?
He doesnt mine.. or mine miners or anythign to do with mining.
But he is the reason for the mining nerfs and therefore the flames and idiocy that follows it. Let's just take it on the chin and find the next thing to blame Zelot for.

Ok now little brainstorming. I study the damn economics for something right?
First facts:
1. Admins need to fix the whole raeg around.
2. Mining causes raeg.Because it is very profitable and all miners/pirates are greedy.It is simple to mine/rob 44 mill at once. It dont require a lot really.
3.The idea of mining being profitable it is to be team sport. Stand alone hegemon still can be profitable enough and dont require team-mate help.Single Hegemon are easy targets even for single pirate.
4. The problem is in Single here. Single pirate hit-"drop all or dai" makes 44 mill,single greedy armour-less hegemon makes it too.
Solution: Nerf Single not mining. Right now the same people who mine transport the ore - that is just wrong.
1:Boost hegemon hull to 200-230k , reduce his cargo hold to 500. Remove 4 hours rule for mines except blue msg- so miners can flee/cruise away/ dock but not die..Single miner cannot mine without hauler.Mining ship is for mining not for transporting around Sirius.
2:Single pirate cannot own single miner any more( the miner can dock because it has enough hull to do it under fire)
3: Increase the time for F1 to 5 -7 min. So if miner F1 when see pirate in the system the pirate eventually can catch him and kill him. Make the same green msg for the pirates who attack out of F1 in the mining fields and make it sanctionable.
4.Keep the the prices of the ore selling location 5-7k,boost the dropping rate.It will keep the hauling corporations busy. More live among the lines- more pirates- more lawfuls etc.
It is pure people psychology- when you give money on rates they look not that much.It will work even with virtual money.If you mine 1 hour(around 50 mill) and loose all there is a reason to be angry and raeg against the pirate.
