Katana - Blood Dragon VHF

Just wondering what your opinion on the Katana was. Pros/Cons? Preferred load-outs?

It's a nice ship, maybe a tad faster than the Chimme.
I also have to say that I personally like it's handling more than the handling of the Blossom.

For the loadout, I'm using 2 Imp Debs and 4 Daitos, plus a Minirazor.
If you want to do some pirating, use a Train Cruise Disruptor.
If you're firing all guns together, the energy drain is not heavy, but also not light, I would say it's somewhere in the middle.
In short, I see it as a good fighter.

Not really an ideal ship for solo piracy, you'll struggle to hurt your victims with your puny fighter weapons.

Great for solo fights and group fights if you slap a Mini Razor on. Almost identical to the Chimera, with a flashy paint job.

Piracy in a VHF works just fine. Two debs and four daitos + CD or razor and nuke and you'll do well enough I'm sure. Although a razor will make piracy rather tricky...

It has a smaller powerplant and less armour than the chimeara, yet moves one hell of a lot faster as well. All in all, one of the best ships in the game in my opinion. I love the thing.

I don't like idea of Blood Dragons pirating, however for pvp this ship is quite fine. But don't ever go with full Daitos - get a pair of Debs or a missle, dunno.

It has better Mini Razor placement than Chimaera, that's all the RP you'll need:cool:
