I'm wondering if there has been a misunderstanding.
Was Toledo blown apart or was the Order military base , and or Elevator-only destroyed, and the planet remains intact?
It seems odd to me that people keep saying Toledo was destroyed.
Is that the official script, or is that peoples presumptions/excitement based on the size of the explosions and task forces?

Nah, technically not destroyed, just turned into barren wasteland. It'll still be there in 4.86. Just looking differently. You can dig up threads here on this forums discussing this scenario. It was originally made by Ophidian, Order| and probably a lot more contributors I don't even know.
Edit: yeah, pretty much what A&L said in a post below there.

Human settlements on Planet Toledo has been destroyed as far as I have understood it. Nomad super marduks pounded the planet to reach the core, so as to invoke massive tectonic instability, rendering any chance of resettling the planet out.
The order should praise them selves lucky they managed to salvage most of their equipment and personell from the planet base, and Isis, then evacuate to O100. Only reason they managed that, was because the Core did enter Minor with their last remaining ships, drawing off enough Nomad ships to get their evacuation going.
I heard something over the Console chat about tectonic plating shifting and something about the planets core going mad.
So I after I saw 6 HM hit it's surface I was to be expected to be 'Destroyed'
Maybe not in pieces but surely destroyed.
It still holds a car shape but it is a destroyed car.
Well put.
So black, scorched ball of rock and lava that makes you go "holy shi-" when you first see it, with high radiation and surrounded by trashed Osiris/Makos.
Ladies and gentlemen, Planet Cork has officially been one-upped in the disco Geocide category.
Sounds great to me.
The Order got owned. In the face.
