I just noticed that once again a CD shot hitting a target anywhere near an ally turns everything allied near you hostile.

Just curious, but when did this get turned back on? At one point it was made so that a CD shot would not turn allies hostile? Or is it a bug?

It shouldn't, if they're green to you.
AFAIK, it's not turned off or on? But I may have missed something.
I'd assume a bug.

That's why I don't wander around bases for extended periods of time.

Hell I don't even have a ship that possesses a cruise disruptor.

The thing is, this bug occurs sometimes and doesn't the other times, it's strange, like winning the lottery.

Meh. In .84, I believe, NPCs were becoming hostile after one hit from TCD.
Now fully green NPCs are becoming hostile after few TCD hits...

If you are full green (actually half a bar from full green) to the NPCs, they will not turn hostile to you no matter how many CDs you fire.


Note 2 things:

a) If there are NPCs which are allied to your own, but you are not fully green to them, these will get hostile to you and also change your own NPC so hostile

- so to avoid issues as a police officer in liberty you have to be fully green to LPI, LN and all trade corporations

b) In some areas (Liberty) you can actually kill NPCs with a few cds, if you kill enough of them (2-3) your reputation drops below the threshold and they get hostile to you.
