ok so i was on my char,talsha_liebestern

i park myself on the farside of california minor..set my speed to zero...made sure no other players around...and then i hit f1 and select new character,so i can relog and possibly dock with california minor (lpi npc had been chasing me,btw im trying to convert from kruger mineral id/iff to freelancer iff/mercenary id...got the mercenary id and ill shortly be getting the freelancer iff fixed)

cept when i do that it freezes for a sec..then does the "please wait this operation is taking longer than expected"...i get impatient and hit escape to cancel...then it takes me back to server select,i wait a couple minutes...log back in

cept when i log back in finally....it has me in freeport 4 in magellan....and all of my diamondbacks are gone

it hurts me cause i spent 70 million which i worked hard for on those guns.....

go ahead check the logs for that character im telling the truth

i would be happy if just 4 of those diamondbacks could be restored

NPCs had been chasing you ? They probably killed you in the F1 timer delay then I'm afraid.
If you want to make sure you keep everything in tact, always dock please, especially when hostile to all
the locals, as you most definitely are.

no you dont get it

i used cruise velocity to go under the planet until i reached the farside, well out of range of any npcs

and then this is when the stuff mentioned above transpired

you can check my account for what happened....there are even pm logs on my forum account here confirming i bought the guns

i even waited for a little bit on the farside of the planet to make sure i was out of range of npcs

please i beg you check my account`s data

you are never out of range of npcs. they appear everywhere you are.
never disconnect in space with such precious cargo.

He surely didn't, otherwise he'd have the weapons back once respawned.

Yea, really fear it's no glitch... if you logged back in the space, yet without weapons, that would prolly be one, but since you logged on base, it means some NPC (prolly NPC) killed you and sent everything that wasn't nailed down into space.

well if all of the above is true....

then how come this sorta thing never happens when i use alt+f4 exit?

technically it should be under the same principle

and ive flown that eagle through enough hostile tradelanes and hostile npc patrol convoys before to know what it`s sheilds can and cant do

i severely doubt that anything short of a dreadnaught in an npc patrol wold be able to swing around the planet and snipe my eagle in the minute or so it took me to get back on

(and besides i was parked 5 inches away from the planet`s atmospheric barrier.....and at 0 speed there was no danger.....)

i mean seriously..i have doen this same exact scenario hundereds of times in both single player and our disco here....ive even pulled this off in various places in dublin when the server is full....and a pirate is usually more dangerous than npc patrols

i beleive thats shows a difference between the alt f4 exit method and this one....even though the same time delay applys

An eagle does not withstand a cruiser NPC patrol for more than 10 seconds. Cali has Cruiser patrols. The F1 time out is 1 minute. They could have killed you several times, and had a picnic with wine, biscuits and cheese as well.

It is not a server glitch. It is a pilot error - Leaving the ship controls in hostile territory ain't a good idea.

*grumble* well i guess the word from mr. limb man there seals it

but perhaps i should thank you mr. limb man,now i have something to save up for which makes me happy (and considering that i have my mining char in dublin right now with 75% of its hold full of gold ore....getting 48 million for some mroe diamondbacks wont be hard)

and this time ill make sure to fix my rep before i get the diamondbacks...even if i have to spend a whole week pumping xeno npcs full of lasers

so thank you once again mr limb guy....sorry i didnt get it at first
