Righto,

I got this idea, which kind of corresponds with what Cannon did on Westfalen.

in .86, CeeAaar /teh hate/ is moving to new base in Coronado as it seems. A large amount of supplies is needed for such action to happen. While the fleet handles evacuation of entire nation and adjacent personnel, not enough cargo capacity is present to secure all needs on the new base.

With a considerable sum from the treasury, CR intends to hire all traders possible to secure enough supplies for survival. While the amount and type of the stock necessary is yet to be decided, as this is only prelude and should be like one day event, where whoever wants can haul goods to Pecos in Coronado and receive extra cash for delivery of said supplies from probably rather far distance. Extra security contract might be needed for CR too to secure the space, as they cannot devote entire Fleet to protect the traders.

Outcasts are most welcome to disrupt the trade, other pirates, mercenaries and our enemies too.

// thoughts to improve, hate, srs notes?

Have a think about who you want coming to Pecos, and what you want them to bring.

If you look in the comms channel you will see the GMG is running economic events like this right now.

They arent about 'winning' - they are about getting activity into one's space, and promoting the faction 'brand'.

If you really want to be nice - you should target factions suffering from low activity in your event, by way of offering contracts to those factions.

Don't open this event to every trader in Sirius (unless you want to get rid of the money in an instant). Call the contracted corporations and groups to help you with this (ISE, VI, TAZ, Omicroners and whoever helped CR in the past with this sort of things).

I'll also run an event, similar to this one but it will be for a more personal project (CR related).

This event is run from CR funds and as help for CR. Itll be followed by deployment order for several ships to assist in protection of the traders.

I also plan to open this to traders, even indies. THose people need to be attracted too, plus they can work "under the radar", concerning some substances we will be needing.

as Friday stated, this is not about winning. Whole point is to promote traders activity from less known places (which ill be picking as starting points for the goods), into what is sort of neutral hub in Sirius. If it attracts attention, fine, afterall Barrier Gate is just nearby, providing haven for both sides, which can be interesting. Plus, it is just a beginning, long term supply contract will be issued once it is over, on other terms tho.

OSI has already diverted our agreed upon deuterium shipments to Pecos. I doubt hauling other supplies in will be a problem.

oh joy, my VR will have some fun times plucking transports in coronado. Sounds fun.

Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.

Never wouldve forget that.

Ive learned there are numerous already ongoing trade contracts, but as this should be rather known, it is meant to provide some more challenge rather then simple delivery.

Plus we need a few things that...need to be obtained other way. Also TAZ could lend a hand, and / or other trade groups, as they see fit.
