I like the idea, very very creative and makes sense. Though hard to pull off with all the rules and such.

One thing:

This is a player group, not a faction, nor could it ever be a faction.

You know a player group is a faction right? To be a faction and eventually a official faction you don't need to claim to be some huge organization.

Look at the Mandalorians, all they are is a bunch of Mercs, yet they are a faction.


So kudos to your idea and I'd submit the SRP for you if you ever felt like submitting it.

Anyway, I just did a test in-game with the repping and whatnot. I got a curious glitch to occur where Liberty Navy is flashing affiliated but deep in the red on the rep chart. According to Doc, fresh on the job, no IFF appears over my head. So evidently it would require direct Admin intervention in order to foist that restriction.. although I'm not sure if a pirate ID would continue auto-repping it to hostile or not. Might be necessary to not use that ID and therefore fudge SRP abilities with something else, like Merc.

First post slightly modified.

I need to get in touch with the military faction leaders and check their input. Everything else seems to be in order; the only thing I'd like to lobby for is the weapons restriction by class. Using class 8 instead of 9 makes sense in a roleplay point of a view and downplays the "PVP whore" aspect, but given this server's tendencies I'm wondering if I should even bother hamstringing the Hawkbats like that; they'll be facing much worse from the mercenary bands.

Any more feedback, everyone?

I got positive feedback from the KNF, although the issue of class 9 guns is unresolved. No word from Joe with the LN. Haven't asked about the BAF or RM yet.
