*A nondescript man in his 40s, about 5'10'', with short-cropped brown hair and average physique appears. He wears a casual outfit consisting of a white button-down shirt, un-tucked and left with the top three buttons undone, and khaki shorts. Obviously a proxy-avatar*

A human here... Radio Free Liberty, eh? Is this just a glorified chat room, or is it... you know... serious? By that, I mean, is there any attempt at fighting the mass-censorship and propaganda utilized by the LSF, you know, trying to get word out to the people? I ask because I am... interested in this goal, and have invested resources toward it. I do not fear tracking, I've got various security protocols in-place to prevent that, but I felt I must ask. Answer if you feel like it, ignore me if you will.

Boris looks up from behind the 'top.

''Hearts and minds buddy, hearts and minds. We should and will report the news of the moment as it actually is.''

A frown crosses Boris' face.

''Should we also report our own losses? Wouldnt be a truely free station if we didnt...''

' Wrote:Sanguinetti notices the soldier and turns away for a brief moment to summon a small display-panel and browse trough some data with untraceable speed. When the panel disappears, he stands up and walks to the table with a wide smile and a bottle of red vine. He sits down after a while he starts to speak.

But guten Tag mein Herr, and wilkommen also.

My aunt lives in Munich, so I picked a bit of rheinlandish up. It seems the tonight's show's just getting interesting. We have a visitor, apparently from the famous Red Hessian Army. It's so exciting. I'm starting to feel that this little 'pirate' station - if you forgive the phrase, I bet you got that a lot too - wasn't a so bad idea at all.

By the way, I'm Sanguinetti of the Hackers, I guess we didn't meet before. Unless back in the old days of shipping all those red shiny stuff around. So let me ask you - and by me I mean the people of Liberty here, since we are on-space now - how's Rheinland going?

To expand the question, take a guy living here. He wishes the best for his sector while being aware of the corporate funded martial law governing it. And he sees a ship with the blocky build of the Military what we saw much in the war-holotains. How should a guy act in that situation? I mean they want to take down our homes, and what not... But they also want to take down the rulers of our local regime. You see my dilemma? It leaves me with ambivalent feelings. The guy I mean. I always wanted to ask that from someone competent. Maybe I wasn't alone. So, umm, how's Rheinland going?

The man looks at Sanguinetti, slightly amused. "Du talk a lot, herr Sanguinetti. To answer your numerous questions, Rheinland is closer to liberation zehn it has been in ages, und the assistance of ze Hackers has been most helpful... to clarify, mein freund, I have a freund in your organization who... modified... ze reputation of one of mein ships, ze Vrijheid, und now zat ze police no longer see fit to blow me out of ze stars... it has been most helpful when moving our infamous Blood Diamonds into Liberty." Apparently not knowing what to say next, the man stops abruptly and does a short nod, before settling back into his chair.

Paco's holo projections activates in front of the door. He takes his hat off and puts it behind the bar. He sits down on bar stool and turns to the bartender.

Hey man, give me a glass of scotch, I need something to calm me down.

He gives holo disc to bartender and tells him : Put this on the stage man, this girl has a pretty voice, and pretty face..she's a real doll

Projection image shows on stage and begins to play.

Hey Mr.Sang, come here have a drink with me...

He raises his glass and looks at Mr.Sanguinetti.

Maintenance Announcement

Our server capacity lately wasn't enough to keep up the broadcasts of the radio and continue the extended data filtering of the USI system. Now my doctor ordered me to kepp away from the Neural Net for many hours a day, so I decided to use that time to upgrade the hardware used for that task.

That means the Radio will return soon, and also means that this channel is now restricted to anyone who doesn't have the access.

You'll hear from us later.

I don't know could there be a better reopening then a community message to all those who can actually hack the right frequency. This is what I got to say about Mr.Sanguinetti :

He exists in a world beyond your world. What we only fantasize, he does. He lives a life where nothing is beyond him. But you know what? It's all a facade. For all his charm and charisma, his wealth, his expensive toys... he's a driven, unflinching, calculating machine. He takes what he wants, when he wants... and disappears.

Of course, this channel is opened again for all of you neural net addicts driven mad from everyday work. There is only one truth, and that truth is simple. But I don't want to spoil the fun revealing it, but allow me to throw in a punch to the belly of your everyday broadcast production.

You know what the problem with Liberty movie industry is? They make crap. Unbelievable, unremarkable crap. Now I'm not some grungy wannabe filmmaker that's searching for existentialism through a haze of cardi smoke or something. No, it's easy to pick apart bad acting, short-sighted directing, and a purely moronic stringing together of words that many of the studios term as "prose". No, I'm talking about the lack of realism. Realism; not a pervasive element in today's modern Liberty cinematic vision. Take any bank robbery movie that came from Liberty for example, what if they went totally crazy for a minute there."Meet our demands or the pretty blonde in the bellbottoms gets it the back of the head." Bam, splat! What, still no shuttle? Come on! How many innocent victims splattered across a window would it take to have the city reverse its policy on hostage situations? And this is 819 A.S. there's no anonymity, there's no cover up, there's no delay of broadcast! How quickly would the modern media make a frenzy over this? In a matter of minutes, it'd be biggest story from Liberty to Bretonia! Ten hostages die, twenty, thirty; bam bam, right after another, all caught in high-def, computer-enhanced, color corrected. You can practically taste the brain matter. All for what? A shuttle, a space ship? A couple of million dollars that's government insured? I don't think so. Just a thought. I mean, it's not within the realm of conventional cinema... but what if?

A digital book hit a digital wall, followed shortly by a digital fist.
The owner of the fist flinched as the proper electrons flew through his nueral band into his brain, routing across nuerons until they hit the pain centers.
It felt real.
Didn't make it so.
The same gorram book for ten years.......why can't i enjoy it as i used to?
With a sweep of his hand, digital bruises on digital skin, he banished the open book, the wall, the chair, the Irish coffee, the old wood paneling, all back into the uncolored digital oblivion, leaving only the stark reality of cyberspace.
He closed his eyes, mind humming.
There.
Something new. He had no idea what, but hey. Men at the end of their mental rope seldom have concerns.
His eyes opened, and looked around.
Baroque styling, check. Drinks, check. Music, check. Drunkeness....check.
He approved, and ordered several drinks.
The mind-crushing morass he intended on drinking into wouldn't be real, but he simply didn't care anymore.

Jasmine swept her hand through the white mist that encircled her, another line of code shattering before her eyes as it disappeared back into the clouds. How long had it been for her? Felt like a day, a week, though it was probably only an hour at most. Hex-Cinq wouldn't let her lay in sleep for too long, especially when nipping at non-Gallic systems. Suddenly she reached out through the mist, and touched something new, the proxy of a neural net address showing as a small ball of light with a tag over it. She muttered a word, and it was translated into her native language. "Radio Libérer Liberté..." she whispered to herself, her voice unusually flat in the void. Annoyance entered her voice as she finished, and she returned the words to Sirian. "Shoddy translation...'Radio Free Liberty'...Free Liberty? Hm..."
After a moment's hesitation, Jasmine took the orb of data in her hand, a flick of her thoughts plunging her into the address.
The mist flickered around her as the world rearranged itself, the main thing of course, being gravity. Her intranet wasn't programmed with anything but what she summoned up herself, and gravity was not something she required. She took a moment to examine the room. An oddly unfamiliar place, filled with virtual constructs, herself looking very out of place in what was essentially a straightjacket. With a blink of the eye it was solved, a black suit with matching gloves, impeccable in every way. She took a moment to look around in wonder, her black hair settling down to her waist.
She ordered herself a drink, and took another look around, trying to discern virtual constructs from human beings. This is almost real. I wonder who could've created all this?

A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.

Paco was standing behind the bar, cleaning a glass and giving people their drinks. Not many people knew how he looks like, rare smugglers, pirates and his colleges only. A perfect mask to be amongst society unnoticed, hearing stories from tired people looking for a place like this.

Radio Free Liberty, one of rare places on neural net where lawful forces can't make access to the main server or trace the source. Thanks to Mr.Sanguinetti of course, an architect of this place. He left his neural net traces all around, but only small amount of people actually knew how to recognize it. He left an small data pad containing most of the holo projection commands into hands of other Lane Hackers, allowing them to set up a stage or change whole interior of the bar. But everyone was used to this odd bar of his, a place of their own.

Paco finished with dishes and poured himself a drink, then slowly grabbed a pack of cigarettes while observing his guests. He activated the screen on wall behind him, programmed couple of dancers, made the room darker and put some music on. Of course for only 10 credits the guests could choose their own songs from the virtual jukebox programmed to look like one from old sol, it gave this place a nice atmosphere. Paco continued to enjoy in his drink while waiting for someone to start a conversation with him, like a regular barman in a regular bar.

The man with the ginger hair listened, head nodding slowly. As the last chords echoed, he slowly rose and palmed the jukebox, selecting a song of his own.
He slowly wound back, sipping his beer again.
"Ye must be real. Ye changed yer environment in an unpredictable way. Nae many commercial AI's programmed tae do tha'."
He looked up.
"Good tae see another soul with old tastes. Too many raves an psychedelic clubs an mutable indescribable mental orgies. No, simple and old is best. Like the Book."
Confusion crossed his face, the grizzled 5 o'clock shadow adding to the effect.
"The book? What book? Ach. Nevermind the book, who knows all ai speak?. Who might ye be, and who might ye have come from an when, an what bricked road has life and fortune and the fates set upon ye, oh Barman?"
He scoffed.
"Or are ye the rare sort who makes the roads themself?"
He leaned back, contentment flirting with his face.
