Discovery and Alcohol

Ah the delightful substance known as alcohol (and likely cause of my new beer belly). Mixing this substance with anything other than the chat in the house or in groups in person. Now when we pluck some people from those areas and place on the Internet; I can say from experience that its a joyful and can be embarrassing ride.

I've had a few strange happenings while under the influence of Guinness (if it was a woman I'd marry it), I only really have two stories that I can recall right now so here we go.

Back in 4.84 I was Reserve Colonel Edison Trent in a Taiidan bomber; floating around Delta I was swarmed by two Nomad fighters. Stupidly I took them on with a SNAC; by major luck I took one down then sped away for Freeport 11 yelling something, I can't remember. That was fun, until I got wasted by a BHG Battleship in the zone...

Ah the Medic run through Stuttgart to Dublin; this was in my LWB Transport carrying some cargo to Arranmore. Ah while there was no fighting, the RP and yelling (and spontaneous combustion) of the Medic ensued chaos on Arranmore, everyone had a laugh I think. I seem to RP better when I'm under the influence, but thats a gamble.

I remember (barely), I back from some kind of party... damn so much... of everything... I somehow back home, I think two friends helped me (Kudos to them:D) Then they leaved, I didn't go to sleep (looks like there wasn't enough drinks to make me fall asleep as dead body:D), I turned my pc, tried to play "Perfect World" in beginning, and PvP someone, but I was only 2th level (I think). After that I turned disco... tried to play...
Next day I woke up, I found my keyboard without few buttons (rofl). When I logged, I found all my characters deleted:D
Looks like I was so angry, that I smashed my keyboard and deleted my chars:D

Uh...

Out of experience, I just wanted to point out that posting in forums or writing emails to your boss while you're drunk can be a very bad idea.

It can make you use substitute words for many things (click here for definition of the word in question) that you wouldnt normally use in that situation, and what you said may inadvertantly come across as very rude and inappropriate.

Just say no, kids.

Once while fighting a swarm of BHG|Core in my Osiris..and very drunk
i was amazed at how many fighters i was taking down.....then
over coms i get ..stop shooting Bots / npc's Barnes they dont give blue messages.

Anyways, Freelancer is hella fun whilst drunk. RPing in Freelancer is even more so!

yeah being drunk makes the best keeper rp, really. had this one epic one hour lasting talk with an outcast about how can he get rid of his cardi addiction through letting go of his body and uniting with the mindshare.

i went to bed proud and happy, woke up thirsty and hangovered.

totally worth it though:D


edit: makes me wonder, perhaps i should try playing under influence of other substances. purely for sakes of quality and creative roleplay of course:D
